Uh. Not sure how you came to this conclusion.
This has always been a possible direction for them to go in.
If anything. it was more of a threat with the advent of CP to begin with.
Personally I feel the whole CarPG system was setup for this sole purpose from the get go.
But there is no way they could of implemented it at launch with the state of the game.

Bro, who do you think Manteo is? Theres no way he would ever have the clearance to confirm or deny information like that ahead of any official release announcement. And its very unlikely he even knows.
Uh, interesting development. Every time I post a comment on youtube about it. It removes it. I can post other comments. but anything about Steam DB and credit purchases gets auto removed. Not sure what bot I’m even triggering here. But its odd it would overlap with such a specific thing.

I suggest making credits only purchasable through bitcoin and gift cards so its more obvious that its a bloody SCAM!

Lets be honest though, if we do see purchasable credits come to the game. Its not aimed at forzaheads like us that come to these forums. Its directed more towards the casual that plays on gamepass and just wants to widebody a lambo and drift into you during online practice sessions.
Anyone that regularly plays will have more than enough credits to spend.

If that’s what it was set up for, you’d figure they would have had MTX from the start. They could have sold a level 50 shortcut at release. They could have had car tokens all along. The fact it takes changing the system to introduce MTX really doesn’t support this theory.
This doesn’t look like some kind of evil plan. If you’re going to have a conspiracy theory, this looks more like scrambling for a way to compensate for an anticipated loss of revenue from Game Pass players suddenly not letting their game play itself for hours.

I realize this is very explicitly not gamepass nor xbox. But being that we dont have the privilege to see the actual xbox player numbers, This is the best we have to go on for absolute certainty. Plus the population of any given matchmade game on xbox, is the absolute best guaranteed metric we can surmise.
