Would You Purchase In Game Credits.- POLL

And I would expect that the CR-for-$$ MTX would be just about as popular. They might just sell dozens, maybe even hundreds of it. We could be talking about multiple wads of cash here, like full stacks of Hamiltons and everything.

Given how these

have singlehandedly tripled R*s company worth. (Probably quadrupled at this point, its been a minute)
It is actually concerning.
Though. I dont see why they would roll this out for Motorsport before they did it to Horizon. There they could absolutely make that dough. And its the same core age demographic targeting these transactions. That being children too young to make competent and rational financial decisions, make informed value assessments, or a matured impulse control.

Go to SteamDB and find it yourself.

I did this morning and was wanting the confirmation from Turn10 or even Mircosoft if they like

Oh and btw I did end up buying EA WRC this morning and the stuttering had gone… until I dropped a wheel off the track, then quit

@Harawanagangsta Yeah but GTA Online is actually designed to the core for it, to a truly ridiculous degree.
Forza, you do a handful of races, you can afford a brand new car or three. Honestly, if that’s the scheme, I don’t anticipate it to be a very good one.

Looking at it, it’s flagged as “activationonlydlc”. Not sure what that means exactly. The Lotus that came out yesterday doesn’t have the flag, but the Premium VIP pass does, but not the VIP pass.

This could be a bundle thing, as opposed to something you can buy individually. Could also be an ingame transaction rather than a Steam item you can buy.

I’m not sure if that flag exists on other games, but it’s not there on Shark Cards for GTAO at least.

I don’t feel like the “No” in the poll is emphatic enough.

I wonder what they would sell these 300K Credits for maybe 2,99 bucks? So you get a million for 10 bucks or possibly discounts the more you buy? So you get like 1,25 or 1,5 million for 10 bucks?

Some ppl the Whales™ might spend 100 bucks once, to get 25 million or whatever. So they can buy lots and lots of cars and upgrade them. I could imagine lazy rich ppl would do such thing.

Pardon my french but fudge no!

If it’s on SteamDB it’s directly linked to the game’s store so it’s effectively confirmed by their commercial and/or development team.

[Edit: Forgot that Steam is also used for dev environment sometimes]

If this is somewhat true, then I think this will be the last nail in the coffin for this title.

I think people will generally just of had enough.

I’m sure there will be the whales out there that will buy creds. Just like the idiots in NBA 2k that keep the game afloat.

But if this is where we’re heading then the name Forza will not be remembered fondly in 2023/24.

I think most people who would buy ingame credits are either people who don’t care cause they have enough money, or people who are frustrated and then spend money on a game that makes them feel restricted.
I don’t think a feature like that would bring much joy, nor would it fix any problem, it’s just a simple workaround which would push a bunch of people putting money into a game on which they already spent a 100 bucks on.

Or just popped on their game pass for free.

Nah this is the reason I’m playing FM and not GT7. If they go the same route as GT7 I’ll be sure to drop both games.

Likely just something denoting how the redemption connects ingame. Whether it goes through a profile, or just something inherent through the game install. “Redeem only” is probably something tied to the account, rather than the game file.

Surely T10 are this stupid. Never in a million years would I ever purchase things with money. It’s so easy to earn credits in FM so why would anyone purchase it with real money. So hope this isn’t true.

Bishop Bullwinkle said it best.

This listing has nothing to do with enabling the purchase of credits in-game. It is a developer tool to be used for our own promotional purposes on this digital storefront. The description is intended for internal purposes and even free items are often classified as ‘DLC’ on digital storefronts.

Forgive us for being really on-edge with this title, it’s hard to tell what direction it will go sometimes.

But hey, if its true, then good.
Honestly I would be more surprised if we dont get MTX at some point for Motorsport.
No one was surprise to assume this DLC listing being ingame cr purchase.
We all expect it to happen. Have no clue how T10 is making money off this title otherwise.
I also have no reason to trust Manteo or T10, the same studio claiming to have “built their AI from the ground up” at their word.

I’ve never seen a game with micro transactions and only one weird option for purchasing them. 300k and no other amounts makes 0 sense it would be MTX
Not that they couldn’t do that, but they already have vip which is like an mtx grind combo with the double credits thing.

Someone in the thread suggested it could be a gift
This makes the most sense to me
Given the exchange rate most cars are somewhere in the 130k range to buy all the parts
So 300k would be enough to let people who haven’t been playing, upgrade 2 or 3 cars at least maybe more since you don’t buy all the parts anyway, and hopefully get them back into the game.

It’s by far and away the most logical move

Introducing one package only for an mtx into a community that has dwindled to a small base of already on edge players doesn’t seem like smart business.

Especially for a group that realized the error of their ways with the carPG system and are trying to make amends right now.

Not saying mtx couldn’t be in the card some day
I just don’t believe this looks like proof of that at all.

EDIT: whoops, missed the post above where t10 rep of our forum says it’s not related to mtx so there’s that.
