Will Graphics improve in Forza Motorsport?

It has been mentioned here in the forum several times that the graphics are far from good. I play Forza on PC in WQHD, all on the highest settings and it looks like a game from 10 years ago in many places, especially for a Forza and in my opinion. I’m not a graphics wh*re, but every time I start the game, the graphics really catch my eye in a very negative way. With Forza Motorsport sticking around for a few more years, I’m seriously wondering if they’re going to work on the graphics themselves? What do you guys think about it? Do you also mind the graphics or do you actually like them?

My gripe lies with the graphics lag this game has. No matter the settings, no matter single player or multi, the game stutters. My PC sits firmly in the “ideal” tier of their gear lists. The only thing I don’t have is a darn 4090 RTX. I do have a 3080 RTX which is still above the “recommended” and should perform fine. So I turn down the settings so I can get somewhat smooth gameplay, then along comes a patch, or a new driver from Nvidia, and all my settings are pushed to full tilt and I’m back at square one.

The aggravating thing is that this game looks so washed out on my monitor despite me turning everything down as low as I can get it. But the screenshots I take all look normal. So it obviously must be a problem with my monitor, right?

I have two consoles hooked up to this monitor, and every single other game I have played across my Series X and PS5 look amazing on this monitor. I have never had a graphical issue with any of those games, and I’m not about to screw those games up trying to make this one work. Whatever this game does with HDR, they have obscenely missed the mark, because no matter what I did to the in-game settings or the ones on my monitor, I cannot shake the feeling that I’m staring into a Surefire flashlight on some tracks.

I saw a video comparing the graphics of Forza motorsport to FM7, guess which one looks better, yep FM7, the still images of the car’s look great but the actual cars look like they are from years ago, I hope they make massive changes to the game as at the moment I’m considering stopping until I hear better reviews.

Fortunately, I don’t have any problems with that (I have an RTX 4090), but there definitely shouldn’t be any problems with an RTX 3080 either. I can tell you though that the game doesn’t really look nicer with a 4090.

I find the contrast/saturation in Forza Motorsport really poor in places, so I sometimes have trouble seeing the apex/curb on some tracks. And I would argue that this is not due to the monitor.

Part of the problem is the game forces TAA which makes everything look soft compared to previous games. Giving more graphics options is presumably something in the realms of possibility which could improve the look of the game without any major reworking of the engine. The other thing is the colours look washed out which again I assume they could fix easily if they want to. If the hazy soft look is an ‘artistic choice’ though, I guess they won’t.

I’ve seen that too, really frustrating and even if it sounds stupid, the bad graphics partly robs me of fun.

People shouldn’t Rely on Game Reviews Because Everyone Experiences the Game Differently However I think Reviews from YouTubers Leave a Stronger Impression on the Game for example Super GT
