Widebody kit tire spacing fixed?

Did I miss something that was in the latest patch notes? Was this a stealth hotfix or something? Noticed today that the Mini with a widebody kit applied has tires that actually fill the fenders properly and don’t remain the original width of the stock vehicle. I always hated widebody kits in this game because they looked so ridiculous since the tires always kept the original spacing.

Haven’t checked other cars yet but I’m assuming they’re all fixed now? (Too much to ask?)

Doesn’t that still look crappy? “Somewhere in the middle” doesn’t seem to be spoton…

Would it be nice if the spacing was user-adjustable? Of course. But the fact remains that this is now definitely different than it was previously. Haven’t had a chance to look over any patch notes, just wondering if i missed something.

Hmm interesting. I wonder if it’s something where if you had the widebody kit applied before the fix, the wheels will stay narrow, but if you were to remove and reapply it, the wheels would show the fix?

That would account for it potentially still being wrong in MP if the car build wasn’t done recently. And in single player, it would make sense that they’re all fixed since the game would essentially be putting together the opponents’ car builds on the fly before the race.

Maybe they did half a job, hey we fixed it w/o testing MP

I don’t MP and have seen a few rides that always had the issues but now I think of it I haven’t seen that caddie that’s a standout for it, might fire it up today and make a class of those caddies race to see if they bug out

Edit: did a few races against minis and caddies which had the widebody kits in SP and there was no issue, I’ve got custom liverys turned off so that could be a possibility or that it’s still only an issue for MP?

I can confirm that after Update 6 they all seem to have been fixed
(Update 5, misclick)

I Can confirm after update 5 this is still an issue. Just today i have come across a Mini and a BRZ with the the wheel spacing issue while in online lobbys.

Unless you have a time machine or are a Turn 10 employee, I don’t think you’ve been playing Update 6 just yet.

This makes me wonder again about when those builds were created. I suspect that it’s one of two things. Either something to do with old builds keeping the bug, but if you were to build the same thing today, the tire spacing would be correct. Or there’s some other part specific to these builds that is somehow bugged and is preventing the updated widebody kits from showing properly.

I didn’t notice the misclick, I apologize

It all depends on suspension oponent uses, If they use race suspension, all works just fine, if they not, then u see stock car with oversized body panels xd

Game appears to be fixed, because more players use race suspension (car is faster with it anyway), but bug is still not fixed.
