After Content Update. Some cars still show the wrong wheel fitment to other players after applying widebody kit.
Many vehicles wheel track width does not appear correctly with wide body kit applied in race and replay.
Those I’ve seen so far:
Mazda RX-7
Toyota Supra RZ
Chevrolet Camaro
Ford Mustang
Cadillac CTS-V
You can add the 2022 and 2013 Subaru BRZ to this list also.
How do you stop the avatars from using aftermarket wheels, hoods and the body kits when you turn off custom designs in free play?
Wow this looks so goofy! I’ve also seen this on several of the Forza Edition cars.
what do you mean?
It is affecting every car right of you apply a wide body kit to it.
The examples I posted are all AI. I’ve not been in multiplayer.
Thank you for this info. Everyone else, please also post which modes you’ve seen this in (Rivals, Career, Multiplayer, replays etc). Mode and platform details help the team narrow in on bug diagnosis.
I have also seen this bug at the builders cup.
Device: Xbox series X
Mode: performance RT
Series X performance RT, and Builder’s Cup.
Having the same issue on PC. Only have driven Career races so far where I could see other vehicles.
As far as I can see it is on any widebody car the AI is driving, saw it on the Viper ACR for sure.
The Widebody cars I drive myself look as intended, have the RX-7 FD and Ford Focus RS MK3 so far…
Add the 2018 Dodge Viper too.
All wide body cars that opponents use have wrong wheel alignment, even in multiplayer, every oponent that drives WB car have stock car track width.
i guess, that track width have no effect on grip in this game, it just shows that your car is wider, w/o any real effect on handling [wb also add downforce so theres is effect from this], and game just have some problems with showing “visual effects” on oponent cars.
thats also why they deleted wheel spacers XD
Yep I still see this on AI. Looks absurd. Please fix this. I think this also happens when you turn off drivatar designs off. ?!
I’m not sure if it’s like that for every kit, but I can confirm that at least the 924 GTS and the E36 M3 kits now have correct wheel spacing as of Update 6
I found out reason why these wide body kits on ai opponents or other players sometimes have weird (stock) alignment, it’s all because of stock suspension, if ai/player u see uses race suspension, everything looks fine, but if oponent use stock suspension with widebody, he would show having stock car alignment with weird looking widebody.
Idk if it’s the same with street/sport suspension, but stock (non race) suspension casues this but to happen, u can recognize it by looking on how much this car is lifted.
I took this picture of the '66 Mini the other day in Free Play (vs AI), which appears to show that the issue is fixed. However, others are reporting still seeing the incorrect narrow track width while playing online. This leads me to believe that @Akatoyaa may be correct in suggesting that it may be tied to which suspension type is being used.
