I tried playing forza 5 and when I start the game it says syncing data. I thought it was taking longer than usual and then it came up with the message “an unknown error occurred, please try again later”. I’ve restarted my xbox one and I’ve tried starting the game about ten times but I keep getting the same message. Is their something wrong with my xbox or my internet connection, or is it an issue with Forza 5 servers ?
Hard reset your console (hold down the power button/light) for five seconds, plug it out and leave it for around five minutes and see what happens.
By “plug it out” the method is to disconnect the external power pack from the wall socket, or at least disconnect the wall-side plug on the power pack itself so it has no electrical feed to it. Then wait three to five minutes, plug the power back in, and then launch the console as you normally would. You should get a short-term green screen at launch - maybe 15-20 seconds as the system self-checks everything, then it will boot into the normal black screen with the white X in the center.

It’s most likely the cloud… Iv had all my forza data deleted from the cloud at the same syncing screen . It sucks
