The Virginia Raceway is a cracking track, and I like all the variations of it. But why O why can you only race for 2 laps, I find it sickening. It’s so constrictive, give us the ability to race however many laps we want. What’s the reasoning behind it. You’ve got my money, but I feel cheated. Just make it so its the same as every other track in forza 6.
EDIT … I’d like to thank the People’s of Forza. To be honest I felt better after the above rant. But it’s been drawn to my attention that I’m not in full control of my facualties. So please accept this freshly baked humble pie. Thank you for the wise and witty comments, so please accept this apology. Now I ‘‘THINK’’ I’ll dunk my head in a bowl of soup !
Last time I checked, you can race more than two laps on VIR. Heck, I did the 31 lap endurance race there in the Porsche Showcases section just last night. Not quite sure what you’re referring to, unless you’re questioning why a certain race at VIR is only two laps?
What the OP probably means is that when you go to free play => VIR => sections each part of VIR has a default lap number of 2. I assume you can overwrite that in game options after selecting the track. Nevertheless I reported it as a bug on release day already because when you are in the higher menu of free play and you press ‘X’ for next track, each VIR track shows up with 2 laps. The shorter variations should have more laps like all other tracks do.
That’s not a bug. It adjusts the default number of tracks based on track length. How hard is it to move the selection down to the lap number and then press the right arrow to increase the value to 50?
(Sic) apparently quite hard… You see, it ‘should’ automatically change by telepathy to the number of laps a person is thinking of.
However, failing that, there’s this amazing thing I’ve found. It’s called Freeplay I think (sarc) and while it says 2 laps for VIR, it says 3 or 4 or dear me, even 5 laps by default, but there’s this thing there where you can change it.
Yeah, you have to manually do it, which is a drag, but hey, I suppose ‘some’ effort on the part of the player might be a good idea??? (Sarc btw)
I try to unlock the Forest Fire achievment in free play and I usually drive 5 laps in a row. You can overwrite the default 2 lap settings in the game settings. If you thought, that the races in the carreer mode have only 2 laps, don’t worry, they will be a little longer.
There’s this wonderful thing called free play that, to warn you it’ll require a bit of effort, but it allows you to change how many laps you want on every track. From 2 to 50, amazing right?
