I bought the ultimate edition, and absolutely love it. At 4k, with my GTX 1080, it looks absolutely gorgeous. However, I can’t understand why, after everything that happened with Forza Horizon 3, there is no threaded optimization in this title. Once again, only a single core is being used in this game, which severely diminishes performance. What particularly baffles me is the fact that for months, this game was advertised to run optimally with a core i5, and yet, even with an enthusiast level core i7 this game is still a stuttering mess.
I really wish this wasn’t the case, because this game is extremely enjoyable. Turn 10, do we need to wait another 8 months for threaded optimization to be added?
Turn10 devs think with only one thread there is no input lag … ROFLOL
This is at least what I heard.
Don’t try to force this piece of software to use some other Core than Core 0. Result is stutter!!
Disable Game Mode for FM7, otherwise: stutter!!
Set your GTX 1080 through nVidia Control Panel to Maximum Performance
Disable on ALL USB-Devices, Controllers and Hubs “Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power”. Do this in the device manager, not in the energy options.
My system is in the sig, FM7 is running smooth on 6020 x 1080.
It’s running smooth as you like on my rig Maxxed out GFX, R7 1800X @ 4.1GHz + RX Vega 64 @ 1748MHz core clock and 1020MHz HBM2 = 26.9 min, 73.1 avg 125.2 max @ 6036 x 1080.
Wish the benchmark was longer than 30 seconds though…
