Why is the Auction House so empty

Search after search the AH always come up nothing found.

In FH3 the Auction house was always full, the rarest cars were still there, they just had a price but they were always there if you wanted one.

Why in FH4 is there not even a simple wheel spin car for auction, how on earth can this be rare if it was in a wheel spin? Prize cars used to be common in FH3 after an event but here nothing ever.

Is there enough people playing to float an auction house?
Are the prize cars too hard to obtain?
Are the wheel spins not paying out some cars?

Simple average cars like the ford falcon XB and the cop car both are wheel spin cars, neither of them are that desirable so why are there not hundreds for sale? Cars like this in FH3 usually didn’t sell due to the millions out there, now they are rarer than a sunny day.

I also did a search for 20m cars and only 5 came up out of the whole AH, none of them were even rare cars… previous titles had a healthy AH, many many high priced cars, many cheap ones to snipe and everything in abundance - you either paid or sniped but it was there if you wanted it every day. Now there is nothing found ever, no prize cars, no wheel spin cars, nothing…

Maybe the devs need to step in and feed some stock into the AH for the sake of game play until the economy improves.

Those wheelspin cars usually sold in minutes even at 20m cr, reward and forzathon shop car sell seconds at 20m cr. I think reason for that is because game throw wheelspins and credits players so mutch that people can afford to pay 20m cr even cars like ford falcon.

I understand that, but in FH3 even those rare cars were listed at 20m and there was dozens at any time for sale.
Now there is nothing listed and if they do appear they are gone the same second, there should be lots of them for sale regardless of price if its only a wheel spin prize that not many people care about.

In FH3 rare prize cars were always available, the RX7 was a prize car only and was common in the AH, always at 20m but there was always dozens for sale and if you were patient you could always sniper a cheap one.

My point is when comparing FH4 to FH3 there is now much less of anything for sale.
Seriously a wheel spin prize that is not very popular should be in the AH in abundance, even prize cars that have a limited fan base should be in abundance in the AH if enough people are playing.

Example:
The drift story Mustang prize car should have turned up in the AH a lot more often as drifters don’t care for muscle cars very much and would have sold it often, so either the drift story is too hard and not many win it or there is not enough players.
It should be equally as rare as the RX7 in FH3 as they are both prize cars with a limited fan base - the RX7 was always for sale and you could grab one at anytime with many to choose from most days.

Well simply in FH3 has been less peoples who is want to get those cars and are be willing to spent 20m cr on single car. In FH4 there is allready be few different glitch that is made possible to peoples make huge amount of money and that how easy you have get credits on this game is made that those cars sell mutch easier in big price. Heck peoples seems to be so mutch extra credits they spent those to buy common cars at 20m cr.

@FullNietzsche Crown vic is not that good either A800 or S1 class that would see play in online. And when spent more and more time that more common those cars come, i got 3 wheelspin exclusive car few days ago when i spent 50 wheelspins, one of those was '93 mustang and that was 6 of that one i have get so far.

Yeah doesn’t surprise me. It was competitive in FH3 (well, I won many races with it anyway, not saying it was the best, but it was fast) same as the Nissan Silvia K’s 93, which I loved. But in FH4 it’s completely feeble.

It would still be nice to have a Crown Vic just for its coolness though, and I could use it in Forzathon live.

Maybe the RNG could use some tweaking when these cars are given out so rarely.

500 hours man… I haven’t been counting how many wheelspins I’ve done but it must be a lot at this point. That’s including milking the Porsche 911 for the 5000 points + wheelspin (I haven’t even bothered to get the 300,000 CR any more, I just get the 5000 + spin and then delete the car as I have way more money than I’ll ever need now).

FH3 PI index system let make some insane fast cars that are totally useless in FH4, i use most in a-class some aussie car that have 1130kw and reach over 440km/h on races it was just stupidly fast car to be in a-class.

Im sure Crown vic will come forzathon shop sooner or later. Forzathon live events are been places where i have use that car most.

But i agree that drop rate of those cars should be higher, i have buy some of those auction house and that’s why i have never get some of those on myself in wheelspins, like hummer i have see that wheelspin only couple of times and i have never won that and i closing prestige 5 allready, so im pretty sure i have spin wheelspins at least 4000 times.

The problem is most people can’t sell them for a price that makes them worth selling. I have a stash of cars I’ll sell if I ever make it to legendary tuner. Having said that, I don’t need credits now anyway, so I’m not sure why I’m still bothering sharing tunes.

I got a stack of high demand cars I wont sell for that reason. I would love to sell em to buy the cars I dont have but want, however not on the cheap so a flipper can get. Shame I still havent got my most wanted car I won from routecomp1 but still havent received.

This.

It’s not easy getting legendary tuner or painter status. There needs to be other ways to achieve a “rank” to able to sell stuff for a certain price. I mean a simple “Auction House” rank would be better than only legendary tuner or painter. Let me sell any car I can and the more I sell in general then the higher rank I can achieve to sell stuff for higher prices.

Exactly. I have several cars I would like to sell, but without getting that legendary level, it is not worth it. If just 50k people would download my less than average paint jobs (or whatever it takes), I would sell what in have. Until then, I too will just hold on to them

I’ve got a few saved as well, not worth selling. The 10 Million pound cars I found them all in a day. There were big lists of them, and I searched for the lowest price, and that was only a couple of weeks ago. I bought them all.

Not sure why you guys hold onto them when you had a ridiculous amount of credits already
I get rid of them straight away at whatever price and it keeps them more active … even if they are snapped up by the guys selling for 20 million that also had have more credits than they can use…
what’s the point in having so many useless credits anyway

We are all different I suppose!

Not being a LT or LP, I take great pleasure in removing those additional wheel-spin exclusive cars from my garage as opposed to selling for a pittance.

If I could sell direct to a genuine collector, I would, but the thought of some scalper bagging a rare car to then rip someone off for 20m just doesn’t sit right with me.

Prior to the garage capacity update I removed the following from my garage (no joke):
Ariel Atom (x 4)
Audi TT TS Coupe (x 2)
Austin Taxi (x 5)
Cadillac Limo (x 3)
Chevy Camaro (x 4)
Ford Crown Vic (x 5)
Ford Raptor SVT (x3)
Ford Falcon XB (x 4)
Honda NSX R (x 3)
Hoonigan Napalm Nova (x 2)
Lamborghini Aventador LP750 SV (x 4)
Lotus Elise 111S (x 4)
Mercedes Benz E 63 AMG (x 4)
Mini JCW GP (x 2)
Pontiac Firebird (x 3)
VW Golf R (x 3)

Probably a few more I forgot about too.

I’ve stared to accumulate duplicates again now that we have the capacity update, but if I reach the the limit again, they will be the first to go!

Wheelspin cars seem to be handed out very rarely, I’ve only had a few in 500 hours, still waiting for a Crown Vic, which I bought the DLC pack for in FH3, and it was one of my favourite cars, but I am still unable to use it in FH4. Never seen anyone use it online either.

Do you get the Mustang for getting all the stars on the drift story then? I haven’t done that yet as I got bored of it, even though I like drifting and am decent at it. For most who apparently aren’t much into drifting, it probably explains why not many got that car then.

My opinion is that these rare cars should all be in the autoshow - make them 20 million if you must, so they aren’t easy to get, but it would clip the wings of the ‘legendary’ painters/tuners abusing the auction house because nobody would ever need to buy them from there again at that price.

I don’t think the developers care though, this has been complained about for years at this point.

And another thing, in FH3 you used to be able to buy spins with CR but now you have to go through the hassle of buying cars like the 911 and using skill points. (Or forzathon points.) Another regression.

Just let us buy spins for 150k, it would cut out the pointless work.

I wonder sometimes if there are separate AH servers for PC and XBox, a friend of mine…don’t know how long he sits in the AH and how much he actually plays the game, but he very often finds desired cars like the 812, the PO cars or stuff like the Aventador SV…I got the 812 as it was available once in the shop but I look it up sometimes…never saw a single one, I don’t really care about the PO cars, never looking after them but then stuff like the SV, which came up only 3 or 4 times in around 500 wheelspins, the E63 AMG…I seriously never saw it once in a wheelspin and only saw two in the AH and both were taken as soon as my loading screen was done. He has got 8 or 9 SV’s and 5 AMG’s…or rather had before he cleaned house  He plays on XBox, I play on PC and I never even saw 9 SV’s total in the AH, two at the same time? Not happening! Or maybe we do share servers for that as well and he just camps the AH for hours to get all the good stuff and it really is just pure luck or bad luck in our cases.

I also looked up a “normal” car, the Porsche GT1, the other day and of these also only maybe 10 came up in the AH. I think people might be dumping cars rather than going to the AH, except Barn Finds. You can’t dump them like the rest, there are tons of these in the AH at all times. I think, and I speak from my own experience, people are dumping the cars they know or think they won’t sell because it’s a nightmare to set them up again - get the message, get into the AH, retrieve your car, go to the previous screen, into the garage and start a new auction. Chances are the car you want to sell is a car you really want to get rid of, why is there no option to put it up again for sale immediately or dump it without the need to get it back into the garage first? It’s just annoying, but would people dump rare cars like this? Especially wheelspin exclusives?

Im pretty sure there is no separate servers, for example those HS cars that people have get by using mods you can find those in AH even when playing xbox. Your friend just sit lots of AH i guess, stuff like that is not even hard to find in AH, sure you need to use bit time to find those, i have see lots of aventadors, PO cars etc on sale but i have also spent lots of time in auction house.

The game doesn’t tell people whether a car is an exclusive or not, so yes, I expect many people do just delete them as they appear to be worthless duplicates like all the others. I may well have deleted some while deleting duplicates, because it takes too long to delete duplicates as it is, checking every car against a list would just make it even more painful. I submitted a ticket asking for the game to show which cars are exclusives, but they’d rather add more Horizon Stories and clothing than make useful improvements to the game.

I’ve made this mistake myself, getting rid of a Honda Civic '04 as I assumed it was a common car. Later on I decided I wanted one and realised it was rare. Luckily I did find one after a lot of auction searches. (On PC fwiw and I assume the servers are the same for everyone.)

As far as I am concerned the Legendary Status killed the AH. It just doesn’t know it yet. Most dupes I get I don’t even bother and just delete them. If it is a rare care I always delete it. I will not contribute to the 20mil madness.
