All Hard to find cars in auction house are gone

Anyone else notice that there a lots of the hard to find cars that are not for sale in the auction house? Did someone just go on a super spending spree and buy them all of did everyone just happen to stop selling them? Because there’s usually always Rover’s and Napier’s and the VW race car and Mustang S5’s and Supervan 3’s and plenty of others but all of a sudden they all have no auctions found.

I’m wondering if the update was to patch the F150-DD auction house issue, but ended up leading to this.

I’m guessing the Super Wheelspin debacle gave a bunch of people purchasing power they didn’t have before.

You’re probably right because they all of a sudden just completely disappeared. I had been saving up for a couple weeks now for a couple cars, but now they’re completely gone from the Auction House and might as well not even be in the game anymore. SMH this sucks big time

Nothing is gone forever. Just wait a few days till everyone spends their super wheelspin money, and it should be back to normal. Btw, what cars are you looking for?

Lol I know I was being a bit dramatic and hopefully the cars will eventually show back up. The main car that I’ve been saving up for is the Benz 6x6 truck. I know you can get it by getting 3 stars in all the Top Gear events, but I’m just a relatively casual player so getting max stars on a lot of these events is extremely hard for me to say the least. I’ve had the game for who knows how many months and I’ve been working on these Top Gear events off and on continuously and I just can’t get max stars on a lot of them even with rewind turned on. It seems like you have to be borderline perfect to get 3 stars and that just isn’t realistic for me honestly. So I’ve given up and would simply just buy out the 6x6 if it ever showed back up in the Auction House.

You don’t normally need to be anywhere near perfect, you normally just need to work out the best route. This doesn’t specifically help you, but as an example of the “out of the box” thinking you need, this is an Express Delivery story where I got 27th on the World leaderboard, doing it in 3:14 vs the 5:00 time limit for 3 stars:

I’m assuming the SWS has caused the economy to be even worse than it was! I had a level 8 driver pay £15 mill on a buyout lol

@QuagmireDC
I used this as a bit of a guideline: Forza Horizon 4 - All Top Gear Horizon Story Chapters (3 Stars) featuring Chris Harris! - YouTube
Good luck in any case.

I just acquired a spare 6x6 - was curious so I did a search and one happened to come up so I bought it . Feel free to message me Quagmire if you still need one. I’m happy to list it for you at any price (although your prospects of avoiding it being sniped probably increase with a high buyout if you really want it).

Thanks for the youtube links guys I’m checking them out now. A lot seems to be some bit of luck in regards to how many cars you encounter on the road and how many of them randomly stop in front of you, swerve into you, make a last second turn crossing the entire street, if you’re off road and you go airborne can you get lucky and land normal or do you end up flipping over or swerving, or spinning out, etc. I can get at least 2 stars on most of them, but I really suck at the skills stuff with the drifting and burnouts and jumps and all that good stuff that’s needed for the mini cooper one. I can’t seem to keep the chain going long enough and I end up struggling to get 1 star on that one.

Should I change my settings and turn off braking, tracking control, stability control, etc?

Yes. lol

I still have anti-lock brakes on, but traction control, stability control, etc prevents you from “losing control” by applying brakes or reducing power. Well, this is exactly the opposite of what you want. It may help you on the track but it will cost you points here. Turn those off so you can keep the wheels spinning and keep sliding.

I am also someone having trouble with drifting and keeping skills chains for those events. I did finish the Top Gear one but the Mini challenge was tough for me.

The trick is not just continually doing skills but getting those 1000 point bonuses by doing combos, etc. When you first start, it looks like you are supposed to do your tricks at the airport like on the Tarmac. Well, stuff that, not enough points for me even if I don’t break the chain.

I turn immediately to the left where the road is. By crashing through gates, bushes, small trees, rock walls, and fences, you add more points. By constantly swerving one side to the other, you chain those together. And by hitting a lot of those obstacles while in a slide i.e. sideways, it adds up even more. So just keep crossing over the road and slinging it sideways. Make sure you are always doing something, sliding, crashing, etc so the multiplier keeps building. And keep an eye out for a stray car though they are rare here. Cuz a crash kills your whole point chain.

Can help with the other events as well, but again, the trick is to not necessarily listen to what they are asking you. Their route is not always the best…sometimes it’s outright horrible, lol. So do the event, learn where you are starting and where you finish, then look it up on the map and find a better/smoother way. And sometimes you just cut corners or cross over areas entirely. The blue line lies! lol

To keep the skill chain rolling, drive about 290 km/h.

I had a look at that one, it’s actually really easy as the airstrip is the easiest place on the entire map for racking up skill points. As mentioned, you want traction and stability control off, and manual gears (but not manual with clutch) is also a good idea. Don’t aim for jump and burnout skills, what you need to do is just drift up and down, colliding with things, but not the things that will end the skill chain. It’s particularly good to hit the barriers that give a “road open” skill, there are some at the end near the building, and some more down the side. You want to keep just one skill chain going for the duration of it. If a train hit you, that was very unlucky.

This shows how to use the airstrip to rack up skill points, but don’t do the thing he does where he enters a race and backs out to bank the skill points, just keep the skill chain going to the end.

LOL as soon as I had a halfway decent drift going on a damn train comes out of nowhere and crashes into me and I lose the chain SMH you gotta be kidding me

They are there but they don’t last long once they’re posted on the auction. I got a Ferrari 812 yesterday just by repeatedly hitting the search over and over again until one came up. You literally have seconds to decide if you want to pay the buy out because if you don’t someone else will grab it.
I missed two Capri FEs because I wasn’t quick enough. I got the third.

If you are getting time to check the buyout and decide if you want an 812 or Capri, then they are a lot easier to get than they used to be. I’ve found previously that, for cars that in demand, you really need to be buying out before you even get a chance to properly see the price.

To be honest I only caught a glimpse of it before I hit the buyout button

Saw a Capri FE cheap.
