Hope they could add this to the game.
Are you sure you could do that in F4? I cant imagine that being fair, as you could exploit it really easily. Eg. Turning off aero on a straight then cranking it for turns. But if they made it so changing the tune on your setup dirtied your lap I dont see why not. At the least I wish you could rewind in test drive which would help when tuning

Sorry I wanted say they should put it in since they didn’t. In forza 4
I’ve had some of my fastest laps in test drive too. I usually just do a vid of them and save it to skydrive, in case I don’t get them again. Your S class Indy Oval would have fell if it counted. I don’t fret it. I think I’d only flip if I did a one off #1 lap in test. Some times I feel like the tune isn’t quite the same from test to rival. I was doing consistent 48.9’s and then go into rivals and I’m 49.1’s ( this is probably just me, and has no bearing on the game - like I said I “Feel” - no accusations meant)
I’m not number anymore lol some people took it I haven’t try it again after that.
I don’t even have a top 10 anymore… lol. Struggling to get into top 10 with Zonda in S and I think I got to change builds on the R. But have adapted it to where it is finally turning in more than it has to, so maybe this weekend if I’m not chasing RBW TRITON, I’ll try lower down force and see if I can finally crack into the 44 sec on R class. (But I’m pretty sure the answer to the top times is more HP, which would be a completely different build.
I haven’t been back to C lass in your Nissan, since we last posted. But that made me change my deadzones and it has helped out a lot of my racing… plagued me at first with the brakes being so touchy on normal circuits. (don;t need brakes on an oval. lol)
yeah, i can officially confirm you couldn’t do this in FM4-- i know, because i could never match my fastest test’n’tune lap when i was actually hot lapping. lol. and, for the same reasons everybody else mentioned, it could never work, because you could effectively give every car active aero, as well as the ability to tune tire pressures and anything else for different parts of the track. not good. the only way they even kinda sorta could do it is if entering the tuning menu automatically dirtied your lap. and even then i’d be hesitant.
Yes you could do it in Forza 4, what he’s talking about is when you restart the race you’d be taken to a little menu where you could touch up your tune.
