This may be the wrong place to post this, I don’t know for sure.
Should the Tunes we have for Forza 6 work the same on Forza 7? I ask because I made my own tunes for both the Indy Oval and the Homestead Oval in Forza 6, using the Ford GT 2017 car. In Forza 6 for the “Division” leaderboard of that car I have the 3rd fastest lap time on Homestead, and the 4th fastest lap time at Indy.
However I used the exact same settings in Forza 7(after upgrading the car), at the Homestead Oval, and I can’t even make it around the corners without hitting the wall on Forza 7, going a much slower speed even. Yet in Forza 6 I do so well with it, in fact I can even dive to the bottom of the track with the same setup.
Or are they just making up fake random settings for these cars? This makes me want to sell the game now, along with them having basically removed the leaderboards. Or if I am doing something wrong please let me know.
Tuning is similar, but not the same. The tunes you used on FM6 may or may not work with FM7 due to the physics and changes that were made to the game. Also, the cars all handle differently because of this. This is driving some of my tuner friends crazy because 1) Can’t always use the same set up from car to car and 2) can’t use previous tunes.
The best bet would be to use your old tune as a guideline and alter the tune to how it handles in FM7. I had to do this with my drift tunes and I spent quite a bit figuring out the differences between an old tune, and my new tunes.
I’m finding that cars are more sensitive to small setup changes in Forza 7 than in 6. It’s been taking me awhile to get the hang of it but I’m pretty happy with some of my results.
I was really struggling with a Mclaren F1 for the last few days but last night I had a bit of a breakthrough with it and now it’s a joy to drive. Especially in the public hopper against all those folks in the rental cars… mwhahaha
