(Why I can't fix FH5 to 60 FPS in the options on PC? - #2 by Nursemorph)
No clue why you don’t have a 60fps option…but, yeah, if you have it set at 80 then that likely would explain the stuttering as it is attempting to display more than your TV can handle…in FH4, my game suddenly once went to uncapped and i got the same thing, turns out it was trying to display 150fps on a 60Hz monitor.
Regarding the rims: I believe that is a common issue as I’ve seen it mentioned elsewhere on here. I would say that it is probably not helped by running the game from a really slow hard drive though…SATA HDDs are really only useful for data storage nowadays.
Ok, thanks. I will try to limit FH5 in the driver to 60 FPS then. Maybe this can fix the problem.
Maybe there will be a patch for the rims/tires problem. And you’re right with SATA-HDD’s but there’s
no more room on my NVME-SSD (SAMSUNG 970 Evo Plus 250GB). It’s only used for OS and
professional apps like Cinema 4D, Adobe Suite, Samplitude, Cakewalk and so on…

I believe the framerate caps (with vsync) are full, half rate, and quarter rate. So if you have 120hz monitor you will get the options for 120, 60, and 30fps. If you have 144hz monitor you will get 144, 72, 36. If you’re only getting 80 and 40, I’m guessing your refresh rate is set to 80 or 160hz somehow.
My first move would be to set your drivers back to default settings and then see if you can set refresh rate in your TV’s settings. Maybe set your TV to game mode, it might be one of those TVs that cheat the refresh rate by doubling frames instead of actually changing refresh rate. Try going back to FH5 and seeing if you get different fps options either way.
Windows 10 and the AMD drivers recognized the TV and 2nd screen correctly by name and as 60 Hz
screens. Nothing was changed with this settings. Your idea with the TV settings is great, but it is set to
60 Hz natively (it has also a PC mode what is set - in this mode the TV let’s the drivers/PC hardware
decide the settings. For example I also can’t use TV’s “Natural Motion” in PC mode).
