Why do people like Minecraft?

Just a casual question about why people like the Minecraft series. It’s never been my sort of style for a game and series, though. I did try it one time ago (Wii U Edition), but after 10 minutes of playing I soon got bored of it. I’m sorry, but Minecraft is not really one of my strong interests at all, like Pokemon and Super Smash Bros. are for me. I do respect other people liking Minecraft, yet I’m curious why it’s popular. =O

Also, Forza Horizon 5 has those Minecraft-themed helmet accessories for your character to equip… Which look nice on the other hand. But again for me, Minecraft isn’t my right style, nor an original interest in the first place as Pokemon.

For me its a good way to relax after a long stressful day with work, college, other things going on. Just chilling out with friends. Honestly its such a peaceful game.
