Why do I have to set a route on the map every time I start the game since updated

No.
I’m playing on Series X. When I start the game, it makes me set a route still.

Then again, if by “solved,” you mean that it’ll be ignored then yeah. I guess so.

They don’t need to force you into setting a route to make content re-playable.

You just gotta press b. You can also raise a ticket. This doesn’t need to be a big thread. :+1:

Yeah - it’s obviously bugged for some players so the Devs need to be made aware.
n.b. had to restart earlier after getting thrown out of the game completely for no reason (constant problem) but the same thing happened - exited main screen, put onto map and just exited map and back to road outside home, no issue.
Same again after returning from HW - again, no problems with the B to exit map.
So twice now in the past hour or so and it still works OK.
MM needs to bring this to the Devs if some players are having problems with the B button.

Pressing B DOES NOT WORK.

Seems to be for some only.
As previous post, my screen shows two options - A for set route and B to exit map but

So there’s clearly an issue for some - on XBox One S here but the same issue has been noted by others on that console as well so it’s not a platform thing.

And that’ll fix it, will it?

Are you the thread police?

It’s what needs to be done if B isn’t working. :+1: Let’s not get personal. :joy:

There is no B for some of us. Only “A - Set Route” . And B does nothing.

And setting home to Hotel Castillo didn’t fix it either. Still pops up the Set Route map…

…however, it does now have the “B - Close Map” option for me, and glory be (pun intended) it actually works ! So, sorta fixed ? Maybe that’s what you meant ? Thank you  Maybe changing home to any new choice will flush out the B option ? But I’m not experimenting…

EDIT : …ok, so I did experiment a bit and trying Festival Mexico and Casa Bella was no go for either, same no B button option. Back to Hotel Castillo set as home and B button is back. That’s a very odd one but yes, a workable workaround. Much thanks again Jockelzockt !

just to be perfectly clear about it: setting hotel castillo as your home only fixes the no B button issue - NOT the bug in general. it only fixes a bug within a bug.

Weird - but glad you found a fix.
I’ve never changed my home from day 1 - only had to reset it once after the HW issue of starting on the wrong map - and never needed to for the B option to show up on the map.
Seems to be a workaround though till the Devs work out what the problem is - though I guess that’ll be hard if it’s OK for some but not others.
