Why can't we skip the speech of Ben?

Dear Turn 10/MS Studios/All!

I love Forza Horizon 2, just like I loved previous Forza games. I love driving in it, tuning, shooting photos, and all, BUT there is one “feature” I hate; which is so annoying for me, I could set my whole Xbox on fire.
And this is Ben, the host of the festival, the guy who is speaking after every race, before every championship and so on. First of all, he gives the most useless information he could. Like: “if you want to win, you have to maintain your speed” - WHOA, who would have thought! Before every championship, he says that this type of car is the best and the most exciting; and after that, he says that I am the king of the roads for winning the championship. And don’t forget about those useless informations about “If you win this next race, you will be the champion” before every 4th race in championships - however, if I will be the last, I still win the championship, because I am more than 20 points ahead the other guys…

Okay, okay, I calm down, he just want to help me, and make the experience better. Like Jeremy Clarkson did in FM5. I have just 2 problems with this: first, he is not f—ing Jeremy Clarkson, he is an annoying useless-meaningless guy; and second, his speeches are unskippable! I know, the intros, speeches of the Top Gear team and things like that were unskippable since the first Forza Motorsport, but they were never so annoying like this guy. For example, the first intro of the game (where the girl is counting to 10) and after that, when the ferry is arriving to the festival; those are awesome. We can’t skip those too, but they are super-exciting and awesome. Not like Ben. Ben is like a retarded cousin, who always comes to your parties, because your parents said that you have to invite him; and you have to play with him, because he is a guy just like you. And you play with him too, and you don’t hate him because he is who he is, but you would ignore him, if you could… Just like Ben: if I could skip his talkings - or, at least go towards in the menu while he is speaking - I would be so happy.
The other “you have to listen to me, even if you know what I want to tell you”-like speeches are when I first enter my garage, and the woman (as I remember, it is not Ben, it was a woman’s voice, forgive me if I’m wrong) tells me EVERYTHING. I go to the wheels section and she says: “Wheels are the most important parts of a car blablablabla no one listens to meblablabla”. I have never thought they are. I just wanted to install new rims on my car, b–ch!!!

So, what I wanted to tell: developers, please, please, PLEASE allow us to skip these speeches. Or at least, do not force us to wait, until Ben or the woman finishes, he/she could continue what they are telling us, but we want to continue in the menu/racing/whatever too.
And players like me: please tell me, I’m not the only one who is suffering from these…

Im guessing this will end up locked as it is sort of a wish…but yea it would be good, they should have had the option at least

The only one that bugs me is the “Sorry, the car you’re in…” bit if you arrive at a race in the wrong type of car. He rattles on for ages and you have to wait for him to finish before picking a car.

Just gimme the menu and let me get on with it.

oh yeah, that is also something I hate too… I know what car I am in, so stfu.

“Just win this last race and the championship is yours.”

Except I already have 60 points. The person in 2nd place has 38. I don’t even have to place in this race and the championship is mine…

I can totally do without Ben as well as the chick mechanic pestering me every time I want to change cars or do some painting.

These two issues aside, I totally love Horizon 2!!

YES PLEASEEEEEE!!! Like the others said, if I show up to an event in a car that I wanted to fool around a bit, and then I show up to the event in that car, Ben gives me a 20 second lecture about how the car I’m in isn’t eligible which I very clearly know already.

The “don’t be shy” one is particularly dumb. I’m a motorhead, this is a garage. Why would I be shy?

Here you go OP. Everyone seems content scrolling half way down the page, or even looking on page 2, to find their thread but can’t be bothered to post in one that is glued to the top of the page.

I just wish Ben had more to say. Some of what he says is wrong in the context of where I am ie after Finale 2.

And yeah if I rock up to an event in the wrong car I know I need to change. Why has that message not got the “OK or DO Not Show Again” option?

I really think game companies need gamers to test the full version of the game to 100% completion before going gold.

I also think when they use engines from previous games they should patch the engine when the first game gets patched so game 2 does not have old issues from game 1.

Ben is even more annoying than the same deer livery appearing in every single race in the game. I actually back out to the dashboard when he talks just to spare my ears.

The condescending ‘Pay attention to the rating of other drivers BEFORE you challenge them’, every flippin time you finish a drivatar challenge, as though you lost badly to them, even when you won, the single most annoying thing on the game for me.
