Why are there manufacturer's with only one car?

I find it very strange for Forza to have certain manufacturer’s that only consist one of model despite having more vehicles to work with.

For example, TVR.

They only have the Sagaris, But previous games had more such as the Cerbera Speed 12 and the Tuscan

There are a other companies they have done this with as well such as

Chrysler

Saleen

Peugot

Tesla

Hummer

Hyundai

I know licensing can play a factor in all of this, But are other models not included because the brands aren’t “Interesting” enough, Or are there other reasons?

Countless hours of work are put into each model and l’m sure each one adds cost to licenses as well.

It’s better to have one rather than none from a make.

I highly doubt T10 even looks at the wishlist at this point with the thousands of requests it has. It’s a valid question to ask because it pertains to licencing more over requesting specifics cars .

We do look at the wish list, very closely in fact, and actively take that into consideration when selecting cars. The Ferrari 488 we just released was one of the top 25 most requested cars on this forum (top 3 in fact).

If we did add SAAB again, it’s not because they are most requested cars in the wish list - they aren’t by a long shot - it’s because they are iconic cars that deserve a spot in Forza (especially the awesome 900 Turbo SPG). And we’ve been trying for a while to make that happen. Unfortunately, car manufacturers or the agencies who represent them sometimes may decline to participate for one reason or another.

If you did some light research on SAAB, you’d know they’ve undergone a lot of ownership changes in the past decade, and video games may not be at the top of their priority list:

Not much you can do except to keep trying, and we do.

VW is a strange one. Maybe they feared for people putting Dieselgate stuff on their cars, but it is really strange not to have Volkswagens while the other VW brands Audi and Lamborghini and Bugatti and Bentley and Porsche are available. Or they just want to promote their premium cars.

Keep in mind, too, that perhaps Turn 10/Playground Games wants more than just one of a brand, however it is up to the manufacturer’s negotiators and the manufacturer’s representatives what they will approve for use in the games.

Just because T10 may want a certain make/model doesn’t mean they have free reign to add it. The go-ahead must be contractually approved by whatever company owns the rights to the brand/model.

(If you believe Turn 10 can just pick and choose whatever they want to put in the game, take a look at the Credits in the game. ALL signage/manufacturers/tracks, etc., are legally listed with licensing - for the most part - to Microsoft/Microsoft Studios.)
