The first thing I do when I get a car on Forza is drop it on it’s backside. But recently I’ve noticed some cars still look like they’ve not been touched.
Subaru 22B the rear looks too high
Skyline r32 GTR far too high ( only lowers an inch )
Rx7 fd again rear looks too high
This isn’t all the cars I’ve noticed this on but it’s just so you can see for yourself.
The biggest offender by far is the r32 GTR.
I noticed this as I was going to do a racing calsonic skyline and I wanted to have the touring look first ( wheels slightly tucked under the arch with drift suspension) before I did the decals but when it dropped it barely moved not only that I couldn’t adjust it lower. Now There is a stock GTR near me that looks lower than the games model fully dropped. Did they model this on a Lifted GTR
They need to either give us a suspension kit that allows full drop to the ground allowing us to work out best height for each car ( like we do in real life) or fix the cars listed.
If anyone has noticed any other cars that are ridiculously high or think they need far more drop than is offered please list and I will message them and also feel free to message them directly at forzafb@microsoft.com
The Mclaren F1 GT is like 3 inches too low. I just did a web search and not a single pic shows one, concept art show car or production model, that comes stock with the tires tucked into the fenders, like the H4 version. It’s obvious, too, with how easily it bottoms out, and the fact the height tuning only ranges from 2.9 to 3.1. I even found a pic from Horizon 3 with it significantly higher than 4’s version.
Interesting thread, first thing I usually do is lower it as much as possible too but sadly some cars are wasted because they’re restricted.
I do understand this isn’t a fundamental part of this game, but then on the other hand why have it as an ability yet make it so varied across the cars?
A few I have noticed of the top of my head;
Ford Fiesta XR2 - it’s higher than in real life even with race/coilovers wound down.
XJ220 - In H3 (aside from the FE one) it went much lower than it does in H4
VW’s - All of them, unless you put the largest diameter wheels on they’re sky high. (FE T2 goes so low the exhaust clips in the ground)
Honda S2000
Subaru 22B
Datsun 510 - even with fat arch kit
Audi RS2 & 1998 B4 RS4 estate
Mercedes 190E
BMW E30
The main frustration is when you’re trying to recreate a racing replica, as mentioned the McLaren F1 GT goes so low that the tyre clips through the front arch lips on full lock.
The F1 GT just irritates me because it’s one of the best cars in the game yet something went wrong in setting the suspension ranges… even rally suspension can’t be made to ride at the real-life counterpart’s ride height.
