To mix things up, every now and then I really enjoy the spec series races in Career mode. I like racing against identical cars.
I don’t understand why all the cars have the same racing number. (The same color is also odd, but less of an issue). It makes replays hard to follow and pretty lame, and it looks much less realistic. I’m guessing there is no way to change this on the fly, but in such a complex game as Forza I don’t understand the logic to this seemingly very simple change. Is there any reasoning behind it?
If we’re talking about actual race cars, their liveries are replicas of actual race cars that have specific car numbers. If we had NASCAR with licensed liveries, they’d have specific numbers. Dale Jr.'s car, for example, would be 88 and not 44 or 17. They won’t change those numbers.
They really make for great racing and a good way to measure up your skill set against the best that drivatars levels. I’m up from Highly Skilled to Expert in career mode and was able to complete the Porsche spec challenge with ease. In Pro mode, I’m slammed!!!

Its mainly because the people you are racing against are either renting the car or couldnt be bothered changing their livery seeing as you’re competing against other peoples drivatars
You cant force everyone to change their livery
Worst place is the current lambo leagues
Makes it harder to distinguish the crashers too
Sorry, I guess I have not made myself clear. An example may help…In the Miata Spec Challenge at Laguna Seca all the cars that you are driving against, and your own are the same exact color with the same exact number. Looking at replay it is impossible to distinguish one from the other and it also doesn’t feel that realistic. I was just wondering why a game that is so involved and well thought out would do something so odd and unlike real racing.
