It takes a LOT of effort to achieve Legendary Painter/Tuner status. There’s nothing near “cheating” here… they’re spending time crafting something that the public consumes willingly, and they’re rewarded for it. Welcome to capitalism and free trade.
Keep in mind; just because the cars are being listed for ~20M, doesn’t mean people are buying them for that. The market will adjust itself so as a price “most” are willing to pay will be the norm.
When people get a trophy just for playing, the real world holds a harsh reality…
I know livery making can be time consuming, and I alluded to painters not being compensated enough but this in no way justifies the status quo and while I’m not a legend im at about the 3 star mark whatever that is. Im not saying this to insinuate that im a great painter because Lord knows im not, but i do have a grasp on the amount of time it takes to put out a great livery. With that said, in no way, shape or form do I believe that if I were to reach legendary status I deserve the ability to affect the market.
I see the AH as my playing field, I enjoy my time at the AH as much as I do racing or cruising around. I left the the cheat comment open, not by intention but none the less I did and for that my apologies. Look at how I phrased what I said about cheating, I’m far more annoyed with t10 for this one than the legendary painters/tuners.
I know what the cars are going for, like I said I’ve done well at the AH. I understand they’re not selling for 20 million, I get that, I watch the market. My point is that they get to set the market, that is an unfair advantage, but life isn’t fair now is it? It doesn’t really show itself during auctions for regular cars but it rears its ugly head when unicorns are auctioned off.
I really don’t get the point of the greed. There are players out there who genuinely want the 918 but could not do the forzathon and now have to somehow grind 10mil + in credits to buy one. Legend painter status is not very good for the community at large. There are plenty of amazing painters out there that put up great designs for free. Cornering the market on a certain vehicle to get imaginary money is silly.
I’m maxed out. I had to buy 10 Ferrari 250 gto’s, 10 Alfa 33 and 10 Shelby Daytona’s etc for building up my credits again. I’m still around 800,k,k.
I recently asked for fixing this problem still on this forum. I’ll hope it will come in an update or something.
But now have more problems garage to small for all my cars, I use my auction winning as a storeage
Daily sell cars sometimes with 2kk loss. What bothers me the most the limited cars you can buy and sell at the Auction House. Frustrating and bad for my Tinnitus (ringing ears).
I hear 24/7 noises in my head. When i’m frustrated my Tinnitus becomes a chainsaw. Sometimes it takes a few days to get my Tinnitus back to my (normal) level. But i have to deal with it.
But i can write a book about my Tinnitus but this does not belong in this topic.
Completely pointless! Once you get every car you want and always use the mechanic perk for upgrades cr are irrelevant. Unless you want to purchase a horrendously overpriced car on the AH being sold by legend tuners/painters.
So I take it the only real way to be super-rich in game AND have all the forzathon/HE cars is to be a talented/popular painter? I’m pretty crap at painting the cars but am pretty good at tuning, though I feel like most people tune their own.
No idea how much money I’ve earned in total, right now I’ve got 13 million (spent 12 million when the cars were 30% off last week). I rarely dipped below 85 million in Horizon 2 and never shared tunes or paints.
Can I just say…it’s a valid and interesting question to be asked. We all get ranked out of who’s the fastest, jumps the furthest, etc. But as for cash…nope! So I think its a good and honest…thoughtful question to ask
