Which do you have? Xbox One or Xbox One S. What size is your game? 67 Gig or 95 Gig

if the base game is 45gb and the day one patch ( content extra that wasnt on the disc ) is 50gb … how can be 67gb at the end? that’s the point

Because patches don’t always add new files, they often also replace existing files. Having a size of 67 GB after updating sure is possible, it means a lot of files have been replaced (for example updating something on a circuit most likely requires the entire circuit to be sent via the update).

and another one that havent read news on the site

I was talking in general on how patches work…

I’m not disputing the fact that it can show 95.6GB (and without the pre-order label) it did on mine this morning and I took a pic and posted it.before I shutdown the console and took it somewhere else…

But as of now it’s back to showing 65 GB and the pre-order label is back…

My perhaps it has re-packed it ready to leave was at least I thought a “joke/humorous” explanation of what has been happening…

At least we have a sizeable chunk which looks like it might actually do something on the devices unlike a lot of people…

the day one patch , how it is called , is not an actual patch but content that cant be stored on one disc , so there is the 45gb content ( disc ) and 50gb remaining content ( download ) … as the logic says … who have the digital have both in one time … that’s where this issue come from…

No, since Turn 10 said the full game is playable from disc without the patch. That means the content must be there.

no turn10 sais that the campaign is playable from the disc , for the rest of the content you have to download the 50gb!

by that statement is not a patch that fix something but content that is not on the disc

Mine was at 40% last night when I went to bed and that was for 67gb then when I woke up it was just the placeholder again, I started the download again at 6am and it is at 98% only thing is the car pass isn’t showing yet but the day one pack, hoonigan and vip are.

Maybe you don’t need the car pass download anymore. The Day One car pack obviously works without that. Got more evidence that 67 GB is the full game: I am reinstalling on my external HDD and it is currently sitting at 34 /67GB and says “Ready to start”. A compressed version of the game would not be able to do that.

Mines 67.03GB on Xbox One S, question is when is this other update coming? Surely before the launch? So today?

But seriously guys when’s this other 50GB coming? I’ve got Ultimate Edition, I don’t fancy doing an update bang on 12am UK time :-‘)

I think I’m going to beg out of this conversation. I’m not here to argue with anyone or prove a point. I’ve just been trying to help people understand what may be going on based on my experiences, confirmations from multiple users on multiple sites and officially announced information from T10 about game size and download process. There seem to be some who are intent on coming up with their own ideas, theories and speculation that directly contradicts what T10 has publicly released. I have no answers for that.

I sincerely hope that everyone’s downloads and installations go well and everyone can play as they’d like at early access or launch day.

Don’t let them get you down mate, I haven’t argued with you and I get bored enough to argue with myself

Oh, I’m fine. I’m comfortable with what I know and what I’ve seen and read. I’m confident that I’ll be able to play when I want at early release. Thanks for the thoughts.

exactly … until there is a official statement about this situation we can only speculate…

And you really believe we are going to get one… There’s more chance of it happening on Twitter and Screen grabs of the Tweets posted on here…

Yep mine to… And we are hopefully in a better place than those still struggling to download anything “meaningful” and having multiple repeated download restarts etc…
