I played yesterday all was well,fired up my F7 on my xbox one s today and it’s a 67.23gb update? I wont be able to play for days [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]? This has to be some sort of a royal screwup,the update can’t really be 67.23gb’s.What a wonderful downloading system it is,being forced upon us.Is there is no way of stopping it now it has started??
You’re lucky, my “update” on the X is 95.05 GB. Pretty sure this update is the size of the entire game. Maybe this update ends Turn 10s epic troll and gives us the real game. With all of the track/class Rivals, ability to go hot lap, ability to test drive from tuning without going and …I know they said it was somewhere but I haven’t actually seen it. Given us the store fronts that were in FH3 yet mysteriously aren’t in FM7. Here’s to hoping it is an entire game sized update in order to make the game what the game should actually be. Wishful thinking, I know.
That’s weird. Just updated on the PC and it’s a very small update just to patch a few minor glitches with sounds. Only took a few minutes. Others on the Xbox seem to have this large download issue as well. This is the first time I’ve seen almost more issues with a console version vs the PC version of a game. lol Hopefully it gets sorted out for you. Maybe cancel the download and restart it again?
I’m certain before I started it it said 85 MB update, then it proceeded to be 95 GB
Mine said 225mb then proceeded to change to 67.23 gb’s , with no way of stopping the patching process we are screwed.My game was fully working since the last time this happened, I had a huge car collection,then bam a huge download and most likely reset.Well played turn10
So much for buying the physical copy of games any more… there is literally no point, when it still has to download a patch that would take my internet, a week to download.
I’ve had the game for months,re-installed itself twice now.If I lose my progress again I’m done with forza.I’m going to try full refund,[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D].I have grounds at least to get a full refund.Such an utter screw-up and it won’t be rectified either,it will happen again and again,just like f3.Good luck to you guys,just set your sights low and don’t expect anything to be done,that way disappointment won’t hurt so much.
That’s happened to me on a previous update - I had to redownload all 95 gb…
Has anything ever been resolved??? TURN10 and MICROSOFT just turning a blind eye and pretend it doesn’t happen?? This means no more multiplayer at all on my F7 on xbox,it’s going offline forever.PS I’ll just upgrade the PC again,these consoles give me a headache and there ain’t jack you can do about it either.Again,well played Turn10 and Microsoft.
I’ve had this issue a few times, and not just with forza. But for this forza update, my 1x was 85 mb and the 1s was ~235.
Had an odd one earlier, wanted to remove the 27GB 4k from my one s external drive. I did that and after, the game showed 46gb, instead of 67. Put disk in to force update and it starts downloading 67GB again. I just cancelled, deleted all FM7 stuff and transferred from my 1x.
I’ve had gears 4 pull similar things with regards to small updates, and it basically wanting to do the whole thing.
UPdate:Download completed now my game doesnt work.It loads to just past showing the porsche ,goes black screen with a spinning circle then keeps on spinning forever.What is wrong with this game??? Should be easy enough to get working on an Xbox One shouldnt it?
My XBOX One X is re-downloading what appears to be the entire 95GB as well…No Forza tonight. Wonder why this happened as all 10-15 other games on my XBOX are all there. So it cant be a hardware issue.
It is not just you Bizman65: I have a pc and this started the other day after their update. But I didn’t know the download was that big and wondered why my pc would not go to sleep. So I forced it to sleep and its still updating. I’m guessing if I leave it go all night and tomorrow it should be done… I hope!
SO after updating mine didnt work,wouldnt load.I had to delete it all and reinstall on xbox one s.Took a day but it installed and working.What a comedy or errors this game is.I’m expecting to reinstall next patch too just seems like the game is very unstable and the patching process is a joke as well.They need to add an option similar to steam to verify file integrity and download broken files or missing files after the patching process fails,which it does very often.Does the ps4 and driveclub have these issues? Is that game owned by anyone here?
UPDATE: I let it complete the 95GB download overnight. Fired up Forza 7 on my lunch hour and it took about 5 minutes for the little circle in the lower right-hand corner to progess to the Studios splash screen with the car sounds before game launch. I was afraid it was going to hang. But subsequent launches are back to normal load times on my One X. Game progress, car collection, achievements all appear to be intact as far as I can tell so far. Truthfully if I lost a few cars or credits I would literally never know until I tried to use a car I thought I already owned. Did I have 1.5 or 1.6 million credits? 
95.05 GB here too. I live in Australia so it’s going to take a few days. Fingers crossed the game isn’t borked at the end of it.
