A true gamer isn’t too good to enter any race regardless of car class and car types… And neither is a true Motorhead!! Your supposed to be here to race not curb surf!!!
Finally somebody had the courage to tell us the hard truth! Dry and uncomfortable as it may be, swallow it we must. [/s]
You’re
I’m sorry, I must of missed this while I was being competitive in another racing game…
Woah, watch out. He might have X class cars.
I have Vin Diesel “Ask any REAL racer” vibes. But after one too many Coronas.
Are we being challenged?
I love cheese
Is there racing in this game? How do i unlock it ?
Actually I’m referring to how few people are willing to join in on the lower class races… a race is a race.
It’s more like too many players being busy surfing those curbs with their x class ironing boards to join in on the low end D, C, & B events …
P.S. definition of curb surfing is, just sitting there in your car not doing anything and not going anywhere parked along the curb side of the road😑
A true gamer doesn’t gatekeep.
To be a little less snarky, there’s a reason the lower classes don’t have as many events or Horizon Open lobby support, the majority of players aren’t interested in the slower cars.
You‘ll have to find some communities that host such races or meet-ups. My club races every class, a different one each week. The rest of February are higher classes but in early March we’ll be back to D, C and B again.
Link should be in my profile if you want to check it out.
I know it’s years past since it was the most recent/populated FH game but C + D class were regularly voted for when I was doing the online in FH2 a couple of years back.
Hard to say people aren’t interested when the option to be so in FH4 + FH5’s online racing simply hasn’t been available.
It’d be cool if we could host C & D class lobbies people could just drop in and out. Maybe post on the forum there’s a Morris race coming up soon etc.
A really helpful German guy sat behind me at tracks like Bathurst and Road America in FM5 for a bit and I improved so much just from that. He even told me about adjusting the controller deadzones. That to me is a true gamer.
For what it’s worth I miss the Forza Horizon 3 system that allowed people to vote for what Horizon Open playlist (and class) they’d do next.
That being said, Playground would have had a reason for not including lower class sessions in recent games, and that reason is most likely low player engagement rate.
I’ve seen and worked on other games in the past and the #1 reason for not “re-adding” something from a previous title is engagement rate (#2 is developer priority/resource).
Personally I find the tools and options for multiplayer racing in Forza Horizon 5 to be rather poor (especially compared to a more traditional lobby browser structure, like in GRID Legends), but as their entire philosophy seems to be focused around the open world and convoy/blueprint system, I don’t expect this to change.
To get back to your first post however, the majority of players are in the open world just to “be” in the open world. Those that explicitly want to race either set up a PvP Racing convoy or jump into Horizon Open, or simply race solo vs AI. You’re after races, but getting them from the open world feels like swimming upstream sometimes.
A true gamer gatekeeps the **** out of his game. So normies dont come in and stink up the whole franchise. So few of these true gamers left sadly
