This will be interesting to see what VW are in the game now since there haven’t been any revealed as of yet. I hope for the VW Bus to still be in. For some odd reason your title of this thread reminded me of a David Guetta song lol which is completely random as heck lol.
The 3 major car brands from previous Forza titles on XBox One that have been missing so far are Porsche, Volkswagen and Peugeot. They’ve been all 3 in FH2 and FM6. From all other big brands in those two games we have at least a few cars announced yet.
I certainly hope that we won’t have to pay for Porsche AGAIN because that would be rediculous. Once in FH2 fine, once in FM6 was fine. But from now on it should be included in the base game or it would be seen as money grabbing. Either Turn 10 goes the money grabbing way and announce yet another Porsche expansion for a Forza game (yawn) or else they might do a Porsche garage reveal announcement close towards release date. Whatever way it will be, I cannot think that they would not have any Porsches in FH3.
What’s so “suspicious” about a list that is 2/3rd complete, and as yet, all the major manufacturers have yet to announce “Release Cars”
Meaning, those cars made available at release, but not all available for instant access.
Just like all previous Forza titles.
VW is tied to a huge number of marquee cars, see these cars tied to VW Motorgroup. These are subsidiaries of the Volkswagon Manufacturer Group. So why would you see it as suspicious that a major manurfacture of several leading car groups be excluded.
See the enclosed cars linked to Volkswagon
Volkswagen Group sells passenger cars under the Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda and Volkswagen marques; motorcycles under the Ducati brand; and commercial vehicles under the marques MAN, Scania, Neoplan and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. It is divided into two primary divisions, the Automotive Division and the Financial Services Division, and has approximately 340 subsidiary companies.[11] VW also has two major joint-ventures in China (FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai Volkswagen). The company has operations in approximately 150 countries and operates 100 production facilities across 27 countries.
All the cars listed belong to the Volkswagon Group, and it’s due to strict licencing with both Turn 10, Microsoft and Playground Games as to what cars, models and types of their entire vehicle lineup will be allowed into not only Horizon 3, but the next iteration of the Forza Motorsports franchise.
These licences can be very strict, allowing what we’d consider normal racing car game inmates, yet exclude one we’d think should/would be included. We all have no idea as to those rules, and we have to remember, the developers DO NOT have the power as to what appears, and what doesn’t. It’s down to what the manufacturers want included.
So, we’ll definitely see VWs in Horizion, as there will hopefully be representation of the famed Baja Bugs (Beach Buggies) which were extremely popular here in Australia, plus the huge VW following in the great Aussie Isle.
I’d hazard to say we might find some as Barn Finds, as these were rather rare after the '80’s.
So many cars are now tied into each other. Such as the great Toyota 86 and Subaru. The Famed 86 is the EXACT same car as the Subaru BRX, with the only difference being badging.
In fact right now, over 60k of the great 86’s and lesser number BRXs are being recalled Australia wide due to an electrical fault on the power steering. Which could cause steering to fail due to an electrica short.
This concern has been in the VW small car and sports car lineup since 2005. It even happened to a friend when her 2005 Polo Turbo recently stopped dead in its tracks in the middle of an intersection. Scary stuff.
But I digress.
So many cars are linked, so rest assured that while some might be absent at the momnent, there will no doubt be appearances of dome of the various cars we love in Horizon 3. There’s nothing suspicious about anything, it’s just how things are being allowed in by manufacturers, not the developers. If it was up to them, they’d have everything included in their games.
These guys are doing their best to supply the best experience they can to you. It might not suit everyone, but the cost of including just one car is immense to say the least.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a “German Week” theme for one of these next reveals. There was one for FH2, or maybe it was FM6. Or both.
With that week could come all the VWs, perhaps most if not all. It does seem a little strange that not a single one was revealed though.
Porsche was spotted during the E3 gameplay by a forum-goer…maybe a joint Porsche/VW reveal. Keeping in mind that even if Porsche wasn’t in the game, no RUFs have been revealed either.
I’d really only worry about it maybe 2-3 weeks from launch if none have been revealed yet.
Those packs you get for preorder arnt for FH3. The Rockstar Pack is for FH2 and the Meguiar’s Pack is for FM6. So if you already have those packs for those games then its pretty much useless lol. The only one you get other than the ones from the car pass for FH3 is the All Stars pack which is just race cars which is going to be amazing.
“Starting today, you can choose from one of three versions for Forza Horizon 3, available to everyone. Note that players who purchase any digital bundle of Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox will also receive two car packs available immediately for use in previous Forza games– the Rockstar Energy Car Pack from Forza Horizon 2 and the Meguiar’s Car Pack from Forza Motorsport 6.”
