Place to rant about cars removed from Forza

Yeah, I know this is frowned upon…

They just added 2016 Camaro SS to compete with 15 Mustang GT and 12 Challenger SRT8, and they removed both the Mustang and the Challenger… Can’t race if the competition wasn’t invited…

Anyone else bummed about certain omissions?

We’re all going to be bummed about cars getting left out of the latest versions of the game. I want my…

Feel free to add to the wishlist before this thread turns into one.

Well, they were cars already in previous Horizon 2. Didn’t expect to have to add them to wish list again. Even then, it’s getting old paying for the same cars to be dlc over and over and over.

I’m feeling too lazy to rant right now.

I’m just gonna miss the Caparo and Sunbeam Tiger. The Caparo would have been great with the other track toys/ hypercars. But oh well.

As I just posted in the Official Car List, I think that 54% of the cars being 2000 and newer is a bad choice on PG’s end. I wish there were more cars that would be seen at a typical car show from around the world and less of the super cars/brand new cars. They are cool and all, but this is (In my eyes at least) about car guys coming together and having a place to race eachother. Sure there would be super cars/race cars here aswell, but I would bet the vast majority would be in older modified cars.

Hugely disappointed with any missing FH2 cars, especially on a personal note, the MR2.

Do we ever get explanations about why certain cars get dropped? I mean, a whole manufacturer must suggest a bigger issue but to drop only one or two cars seems odd.

Also gutted we didn’t get the 2003 Celica.

Likely licensing issues, or planned for future DLC/unicorns.

T10 have also said that there are other reasons - a suitable car to scan, what direction they are heading on can affect the cars they seek out and they also get data on usage of different models which can affect the likelyhood of it returning. At the end of the day it is their game and their decision (which can also be affected by external factors).

Of course it’s ‘their’ game but ultimately the consumer is the one paying for it. I would be nice to have a little more transparency between the publisher and the consumer about their products.

Imo, regarding the VW issue, they should be issuing a statement about what is going in. After all, they have excluded a huge portion of paying customers and they have absolutely no idea why. This is an area I feel where the video game industry shows its immaturity.

I do miss:
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI
Mitsubishi GTO
Mitsubishi Eclipse
Toyota MR2
Older version of the Mazda MX-5
Honda CRZ (Mugen)

That’s all the cars that come to mind. So far.

I hope they come as DLC or unicorn cars though I’m hoping they come more as DLC.

Maybe they might be barn finds…?

Totally agree, really disappointed that the Toyota MR2 (sw20 especially) is not going to be in the game. Really hope it’s added as DLC or a unicorn car.

What year MX-5 cause they have the Gen1, 2, 3, and the newest Miata in the game.

The '68 Dart Hemi Super Stock was revealed this week.

That car was confirmed a while ago.

Excuse me.

I mean 4 or was it 5?

To my knowledge, neither the Lancer Evo IV or V were ever in a Forza title. Unless you mean miss as in you’re still waiting for them.

He probably wants the Gran Turismo colllection of MX-5s. :joy:

God no lol. That was like every year and every model of the miata. I like Miatas but not that bad for them to add every model they ever made lol.
I’m just lost at why he says older version of the mazda MX-5 unless he means the 1989 or 1990 version, those are the same body style as the 1994 that’s in FH3. The only difference I know of is that the 1989 -1993 had a 1.6l engine and the 1994 - 1997 had a 1.8l engine. and the 1994 - 1997 had extra bracing to decrease body flex.

To clarify, Im both exactly sure which MX-5 because there’s so much! I’m not looking for a particular type, but I would like to see an older version of the car. More cute than aggressive imho :joy:

Is it just me, or do the new MX-5s look like fish from the front?

About my first post earlier, I meant to just say my obvious favorites, but in general I like seeing old cars. New cars looks sleek, fast – I love that and all – but I’m just the kind of person who loves to see the beginning of how this current generation of cars all started (if you get what I mean). I’m not saying the current car roster is bad, don’t get me wrong. But as an individual (and maybe others) feel that it is a bit lacking.
Forza Horizon is a fictional music festival that celebrates the car culture. I just feel that some of the older generation cars being left out is downright wrong.
Maybe it’s just me. I started playing my first racing simulation on the first Gran Turismo before I went to preschool. Its just this memory burnt into my head of how cars looked back then.
The graphics were horrible as I look back while I’m playing the current generation of video games. But when I was still a child I never cared about the dang graphics, I just loved those cars. And I still do.
I’d understand if it may be a bit of a hassle to get back licensing rights for those old cars. By now most of those licenses are expired, and that would be understandable.

Sorry for the rant, I got carried away!! :joy:

But I think it would be much appreciated by the community if Turn 10 or Playground Games explained why this car, or that car was left out.

Much appreciated!! @T10/PG I hope you reply to my post!
