I’m kinda accepting the fact that i may never see VW in Horizon 3, which is very sad since it’s one of my favorite brands, but what really pisses me off is that we never had a official word from Playground/T10 about why VW is not in the game. So, does anyone know anything about this??
I’ll just throw some photos of my favorite and most used car in Forza Horizon 2 just for nostalgic purposes.
Official word came from T10 prior to the realease of the game.
In august I believe when the were announcing cars that would be in.
So on that token. You shouldn’t be “really” p***** off anymore

After google search “VW not in Horizon 3” I found this 3 down in search results and the top 2 results referred to this and I remembered correctly it was in august prior to the games release

I guess i missed that post back then, that sucks. But thanks for taking the time to share this info with me, was really in the dark here about the situation. I guess i’ll just have to keep hoping for a dlc then, that would be one dlc i wouldn’t mind paying for hahaha

Dieselgate is the main reason for no VW.
That is an assumption and has not been confirmed in any way. Also doesn’t explain why cars from Porsche and Audi are in the game (both have models affected to some degree by this scandal, as do Skoda and Seat). Or why other VW brands are present (Lamborghini and Bugatti for example). At the end of the day VW as a brand isn’t present and we do not why, just that it isn’t.
I don’t think it was PG/T10 who declined the VW licensing deal. I suppose it was VW that didn’t want to see their cars in the game.
The others you mentioned were not affected in the same way as VW,money seems to be the driving factor as to whyVW is missing,i have no doubt they will return though.
I don’t think that’s the reason considering VW is in GT Sport… There’s something missing that we’ll never know about.
Oh well, we probably won’t be seeing VW in this Forza. I personally don’t care though since I had to get used to it not being there. At day one I I thought that VW was in the game until I checked the cars list carefully and I was shocked! Ever since then I wondered what caused T10/PG to not add it. As PervasiveFall8 said, we were informed in the week in review in August about why they couldn’t get the license from VW.
I also made my own photo with the desert dingo buggy from FH2 in FH3.
