Wheels - Advanced Input (Wheels) Settings reset upon game launch (1593360)

EDIT: please read my first comment below for a work-around for now.

  • Brief description of the issue (Short sentence)

WinApp version - On the advanced input tab of the game settings, I noticed that every setting above vibration scale in the advanced input tab resets upon game launch to the default settings.

  • Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

  • Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

  1. While in-game, make an adjustment to advanced input settings such as deadzones for any axis.
  2. Save changes
  3. Close game
  4. Launch game
  5. Check advanced input settings to confirm they have reset to default values
  • What console or device are you on? (PC, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, etc)

Windows 10 - PC - Game Pass / WinApp

  • Wheel Model

Fanatec CSL DD with “CLUBSPORT STEERING WHEEL PORSCHE 911 GT3 R V2 FOR XBOX”

Additional information:

I see someone else reporting the same issue on a Reddit post on r/Forza.

Please let me know if you require any other information, I am willing to help

A user on Reddit has alerted me to a work-around:

"When you edit the default wheel inputs or advanced settings it saves to a custom profile under input. While the game does save the advanced settings it resets the input profile back to default when the game launches.

You just need to switch profile back to your custom one on each launch. At least that’s how I’ve been getting around the issue"

Same here, have to reselect my custom wheel profile at every single gamestart.

Exact the same bug we had in FH5 at release and it took 1,5 years until the bug got fixed in FH5…

Similar thing is happening on Thrustmaster as well. Every time I start the game I need to go set it up again.

Hi y’all,

Was wondering if I was the only one.
I have a race sim setup at home with E-brake (handbrake). It works ok but every single time I close the game and come back I have to remap it.

All the other settings seems to be saving correctly.

Is this just me or its a comon bug

Thanks

Yep, same issue here I’m running a Simucube 2 Pro and Heusinkveld Sprints on PC (Steam)

Literally everything I launch the game I have to remap all controls and even adjust my FOV and FFB settings

Very frustrating!

Same bug here, every time you start the game you need to go to the Inputs section of Settings and reselect your custom wheel profile.

Same issue. Asetek Invicta Base with Simagic P2000 pedals.

Hello,
every time I start the game my wheel defaults to a Ferrari wheel despite me having the normal RS GT wheel.

On top of that the UI only shows keyboard buttons instead of the wheel buttons.

Same issue here g920 windows 10.

Same here. Which means the key bindings are different as well
