Credits boost car + rival bonus perk + credit bonus free roam head to head. $70K each win. Also Goliath… but it’s a little time consuming. I make quite a bit of money by sharing tunes, vinyls and designs
The unfortunate part about the Auction house is that you will end up in a lot of situations where you invest in a vehicle that literally nobody plans on buying and then you end up selling it for as cheap as possible just to get it out of your garage.
Put my best work in a tune/design into the Maserati barn find that I bought for 200k and now I can’t even get that 200k back on it.
I always like to keep 2 of the cars you only get one free of, the other for alternate tunes. I bought the Maserati when the auction house just came up and was stable to buy things from. People were selling theirs for above the market value at the time so finding one for 200k at the beginning (before everything evened out) seemed to be the best thing to do.
My mistake, really. I didn’t expect people to be selling the barn finds as much as they did.
Before buying any car in the Auto Show, I see what the price is, and then go check the auction house. Many many times I’ve been able to buy cars for a fraction of what they would have been new.
Another easy way to earn credits is join a club, just for earning XP you will reach different tiers in the club and if you do a few goliath races you will quickly earn some pretty good credit rewards, which can be earned weekly. Add me on XBox and I’ll invite you to the club I’m in if you’d like.
Goliath with a credit boost car + credit boost perk + skill boost perk is definitely the “tried and true” method. If you use a Ford GT HE, set up a 5 lap race, you’re making $1.2m per hour BEFORE you use the wheelspins that you get from finishing it as well. One note: don’t setup a race more than 5 laps with rewind on, there is a glitch that will really ruin your day if you use rewind on lap 6+ on Goliath.
Auction house is tricky, I usually target HE cars that aren’t available on wheelspins or Unicorns to buy and sell. I try to watch a bunch of auctions to get an idea of what the cars are actually selling for, then I’ll try to buy for about 70% of whatever that number turns out to be. I try to buy during weekdays and sell on weekend nights.
Lastly design custom paints, vinyls, and tunes. They don’t have to be fancy or too in-depth but make sure you name them something people will find, not just the default “Forza” or “Forza Livery”. I make about $5k per day and I only have a handful of basic stuff. It’s not much but every bit helps right?
Using these techniques I was able to acquire all the cars in the base game within just a couple of months and I didn’t even have to spend hundreds of hours on Goliath. (Which I actually enjoy, but still)
I don’t spend much time in the auction house. When I do, I find that I end up wasting time bidding and selling, time I could’ve spent racing and getting guaranteed credits. A good rate for Goliath is a bit more than 600,000cr in 30 mins. That’s roughly 20,000cr/min. Head-to-head races are great for quick credits, but they severely lack compared to Goliath even if you encounter the “bounty” drivatars often.
What’s so special about the Silvia? You can’t buy it from Autoshow?
I have seen someone bought a RX-7 with a very nice Livery from AH, the price is about 2M ^^
Nope, you can’t. And it was a pretty rare and wanted car in October, November, judging by the AH-price
But unfortunately Turn 10 annonuced that they will be giving it out on the next Forzathon (14 February). That’s a slap in the face to all, who try to flip this car at the AH.
Slap in the face? I find it pretty amusing that it won’t be able to be exploited as much in the future. Like they say, “Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.”
