What happened with this game ?

I love the horizon, but this part is totally garbage !

Terribly boring race, horrible barn find, each race should be repeated a couple of times because the first two are unobtainable on expert level. Sometimes the same problem on the new racer first two unobtainable. Some races are even too easy.

Force feedbeck is one big disaster, still no support for fanatec clubsport handbrake !

VIP package is another horror awards even with him were a disaster. Credit race are too small. The spins are again poor, even with vip.

The first time I was sorry and I’m angry that I bought FH game… But this is probably the last time, because this game is getting worse does not give anything new except beautiful graphics !

It’s all good.

Would not agree because there is more that needs to be fixed in order to be a good game.

… No offense mate but they’re pretty easy, even on Pro. You’re just a bit… Slow ?

Other FH playing to expert mod and no problem to win so I did not slow
The problem is that after a few restarts first two when to slow down and then they normally win.

Your English skills need work…

Yet, I’m beating the A.I. on unbeatable, the only race I can recall restarting was a descent, and that was because of MY crap driving, this game is different from the other Forza games, that’s just a reality

I beat them on unbeatable, usually by 5-10 seconds, he may be using RWD, which, if that is the case, is his problem (or he’s using terrible cars)

The challenges are all that makes this a challenge ie the 3rd star. The ai is pathetic in the snow (unbeatable).

The only reason why the drivatars have challenged me is becaise i have been looking out for snowmen to slide into for the 3rd star.

Yep i have redone some races 3 times for that 3rd star.

Thanks PG/Turn 10 for a new kind of challenge. Much needed.

I welcome the need to have to fight for it.

By the way, we see this differently.

It’s a race. Why does that get no respect in Horizon? The last thing I want is some non-race objective in a race. Literally. I pay another $125 just for the option to remove this bull shananigan. Ask me to drift in drift zones? Cool. In some freeroam objective? OK. But asking for drifts in a race is asking me to drive like somebody that doesn’t know how to get from point A to point B as fast as possible, like a complete dipstick. It’s asking me to race, but not race, all at the same time. Wreckage. They’ve literally asked me to crash in races. Can you imagine? I dislike this so much that I’ll redact the rest of this sentence. This is the closest I’ve come to a mod edit. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

These aren’t difficult since the AI is so weak, but the idea is stupid and an affront to the concept of motorsport. And it’s stupid. I can accept winning. I don’t need some manufactured nonsensical challenge to screw with my race. If they want to make things more challenging, I’d prefer them having AI cars not brake when it’s time to accelerate. I like the expansion more than I thought I would, but this is the single worst idea ever in Forza, bar none.

Totally agreed. They should have stuck with how they did Objectives in Apex, where you could take on as many or as few objectives as you liked each race. Needing to do all of them at once? That’s just silly.

Actually I agree with you. I am simply trying to find some positives.

I would prefer a wide range of difficulties where the range of difficulties caters to every gamer. I would prefer that challenge to come from racing.

But that has not happened. So something has been added that at least makes me have to fight for it.

I am actually dreading the championships where I assume the challenges are no more. If that is the case then I will mix it up via using oddball vehicles.

So far in Blizzard Mountain, the only race I had where winning on unbeatable was even remotely a challenge was when I had an A class car with 7.6 handling and 8.0 acceleration. In Horizon 3, that equals underpowered. And I won that race.

I’m pretty convinced that if you build a strong car, you don’t even have to be a very good driver to win on unbeatable in Blizzard Mountain. When I’ve raced in vehicles built for more power, the AI drivatars get left in exits of turns like they aren’t even in the same PI class. It’s reminiscent of the old school easiest setting from Forza games before they went to drivatars. In one race on unbeatable, I answered my phone without pausing the race and I drove off the course and into a tree, got passed by everyone as I had trouble reversing away from the tree, got back on course, and then won by 20 car lengths. You’d have to be driving terribly to not win in a well-built car/truck. Not only do the drivatars seem like they are not the AWD rockets that are seen in the standard version of the game, the don’t drive all that well on snow or on dirt. I see brake checking on the exit of turns all the time.

What upsets me with this game now, is that it feels like they dont know what they want to do with the game. its trying to be so much at the same time. Example. There are sooo many of the tracks that are just randomly placed checkpoints. Even in offroad races the checkpoints are sat next to a dirt road that could be used instead. After playing the snow expansion i felt this even more. The random cliff jumps that ruins your momentum or you just bounce and roll over is a big turn off. It’s such a shame because the tracks that do go on the dirt and tarmac roads are brilliant. Even in this expansion, There is a mountain pass section that is the best thing i’ve ever driven on in a long time. Why isn’t there more of that? Just because snow is added, why does it have to mean even more offroading? They could’ve just made some interesting rally stages or something, maybe perhaps a plowed track on the ice lake.
It really feels like they made the game for 10 year olds to pretty much drive in whatever direction and play bumper cars…

I agree but also disagree.

I would love for them to use the dirt roads , tracks etc more.

But I am happy with the tracks they have included.

The cliff jumps are an additional variation and challenge which I see as a good thing.

Sure, it becomes challenging and delivers something new. But my point is, it doesn’t feel like racing anymore.
They did everything brilliantly in Horizon 1, and if they in the future make a game similar to that, i will tip my hat to PG.

I can agree with that. I’ve recently developed an appreciation for driving on dirt, and my favorite H3 FRC rivals event was the Audi Quattro on that dirt track. But the events in game that have you driving through someone’s crops and going over huge bumps that will flip you if you don’t find the perfect spot on 'em … I can do without those. When I try to imagine who could’ve thought that up, or the idea to make crashing 20 times in a race an objective for the top award, I keep picturing the scene from Hannibal when Ray Liotta was eating his own brain.

But there are some courses in Blizzard Mountain that I love. I’m a warm weather, city person and this isn’t usually my thing, but some have been big fun. Expectations exceeded, race objectives not withstanding.

Edit: I’m also liking the competition when I’m in that new Suburu in A class. It’s looking like I might be able to finally use some handling builds when I want more of a challenge.

Something its right, whats you said. Forza Horizon was a ideal but with FH2 we have race counting - game have around 400~500 races (i dont remember) - just do the same races different kind of cars. Thats boring ! Now its slickly better - but… We dont get prizes for complete championships (what is normal), so why we must do them ? xd

No challenges in the championship so far… a variety of different championship’s with different types of vehicles… Without the distraction of the challenges you can up the difficulty again and concentrate on the racing…

One problem - Beating one Satniteeduardo to win a championship is hard enough but when you have two of them in every race whos points get combined it get’s a whole lot harder… I managed to squeak the last one by a single point I had 4 wins for 80 points and the Eduardo brothers had 79…

It started snowing

“…each race should be repeated a couple of times because the first two are unobtainable on expert level…” I’ve only needed to redo a race a handful of times in the 30-50 races I’ve run in the Blizzard Mountain Expansion, if you’re not running snow tires/AWD, you’re going to have a bad time
“…horrible barn find…” Yes, I agree, but there have only been a couple barns I’ve liked, but it comes down to preference
“…The first time I was sorry and I’m angry that I bought FH game… But this is probably the last time…” Sorry to see you go, but to me, this isn’t enough to lose my interest, the positives outweigh the negatives, yes, we have driveater problems, yes, we do have Anna problems, yes, barnfinds are pretty bad, I can’t say anything about force feedback, because I don’t own a wheel, BUT, if force feedback is that big a problem, there are controllers for a reason, use one.
