I wish they remove the black screen when you enter the pits, it’s ridiculous. If they don’t add a manual pit stop, at least they should make it like the formula 1 games
Out of everything, I’d have to say the duration. The stops are unrealisticly fast.
The bright orange wheels that do not match the model of the car come in a strong second.
Just about all of it..
the short pit window to make any adjustments. The g923 wheel is a bit sloppy w the directional pad so if my button accidentally scrolls down and adjusted something then I’m stuck w it.
Gota whole pit road but everyone had to use the same stall.
The auto pit feature seems useless? Causes massive wrecks w the drivingline the ai takes to slow down, sometimes I accidentally press it.
Every car going to the same pit stall
The new tyres are put on & invisible tyres are removed.
Cant see the fuel or jack guy plugging in.
The pit crew animation is the same no matter which series you are in.
And the other points you guys have already said.
The preset fuel increments versus granular loads
The inability to revert a tire/fuel decision
I’m not saying the F1-fast pitstop animations are a good thing, but they make sense from a balancing perspective for the typical race lengths we have… and even then, some pit sequences “need” minor rebalancing to improve competitive balancing and open up strats instead of doing no-stopper hard runs for certain tracks (due to total pit length—think Yas), so a longer animation would just make this imbalance even worse
It would be nice if they offered a session-toggled option for “realistic” pit sequences that would be more appropriate for longer race lengths/private lobbies
And then +1 to what everyone else said about the pit stall reuse
I dont like Pit stop cause it’s too fast. For exemple for the wec hypercar the fuel is only 2 second. It should be 30s like in reality, and when you have damages the mecanicians fix it in 10 s it’s too unrealustic
I don’t like how it flushes UDP and turns Data Out into Idle Mode.
When I’m doing longer races, this splits my race data up into multiple smaller races, which complicates some of the data (like best lap comparisons) on my SimHub dash.
“Custom” fuel selection, but its only in increments of 10%
Related, I don’t particularly like how I am setting my total fuel level in the stops.
If I come in with 3% of fuel remaining, I’d like to add 10% so that I have 13% of fuel.
In fact this is how I thought it worked initially, until I started running out of fuel on the final lap too often.
I think being able to set a specific percentage would be ideal.
We should start choosing fuel, tires, and repairs as soon as the car hits the pitstop. Wht do we have to wait for the car to drive into the pits so long before that menu pops up? Makes the whole process feel rushed. Also, as others have said, with the extra time we should be able to manually set fuel levels. Like maybe choose how many total laps of fuel we want in the car? It should also last a little longer.
I want to know the number of times I need to pit before the race starts. Some race events have a set number of times you need to pit, and you don’t know how many until the race actually starts. I’m tired of having to manage my tires again after the race has started.
I get annoyed at the fact we can’t properly spectate anything. That stupid hazy filter over the screen during pitstops and at the end of the races serves no purpose as far as I can tell. We used to be able to spectate others at the end of the race. I miss that.
As far as pitstops themselves go, the fuel options are infuriating. It’s far too easy to select the wrong item due to time constraints, screwing yourself over by not having enough fuel to finish the race or make it to your next planned stop.
I think most of peoples issues listed here are pretty superficial. I dont mind them being sped up or unrealistically fast. Because that in reality varies between disciplines.
I do have a problem with the fact that something is wrong with the way the AI pit in endurance. Its always wildly off the cycles you pit on. Im aware they drive the tires bald before pitting too, but still, pitting 4 laps earlier than the rest of the grid while trying to baby tires just doesnt feel fun.
Finished the endurance gt3 tour today and started the gte, i noticed in both races when i pit and the car comes out on watkins glen and hockenheim that the car forcefully darts left or right after reentering the track.
Really efd me up my first attempt at thr glen
