Why forza 6 Why?

So I put 30 some laps in on RA only to run out of fuel on the last lap and find out forza doesnt have a feature that auto pits when fuel gets to zero so I never got to finish a race I SPENT OVER AN HOUR DOING. Not to mention I can run a clean lap and get perfect turns on every corner yet not even crack 2:08 and they are running 2:07 on dirty laps and they are r859 and im r867… You guys got some work to do on the next one. Make enduro racing more realistic not the crap it is now.

Wait, so an auto pit feature when you run out of gas would be more realistic than the way it is now? Not being able to move when out of gas seems pretty realistic to me.

You want endurance racing more realistic but expect auto pit? It’s not Forza’s fault you didn’t keep an eye on your fuel.

I’m sure that’s an excuse real race drivers use. lol

If you don’t want to have to monitor fuel usage then why not just turn fuel off?

I’m sorry you had such an annoying finish to your race. I remember the first Enduro that I ran out of fuel on, was very annoying. but I learnt from my mistake and now I enjoy the tactical challenges of pitting on the different event and with private lobbies.

don’t let it stop you retrying it tho. as for the other cars times, depending on difficulty settings they can run some pretty crazy times to make it more difficult for you. but that’s why theres the ability to change the difficulty setting.

keep racing my friend and it will all become second nature!

it tells you when you are running out, they mean it

I think that it is unrealistic when cars run out of fuel too…

You probably stumbled upon one of the few simulation parts left in this game congrats.

Shame… They should have made it all unrealistic… Like Mario kart with all of the upside down parts and everything… Maybe add a rainbow track… And gliders…

So when a car runs out of gas in a race they let them sit on the track? No they tow them to pit lane so they can finish. Yes it was dumb of me to try and push it but hey when all you have is a little bar under your gear you dont really know your exact amount… Im saying so if you run out of gas on last lap they shouldn’t just make you sit there so the last hour of your time was a waste for no credits or anything They should make it so you have to press a button and it sends you to pits. Weather you finish last or not i think its dumb i wasnt able to finish the race at all just had to back out. Should add flags and safety cars

Le Mans 2016, Toyota were leading, had an issue on the last lap (ran solidly for 23hours and 50 mins ) and stopped by the pit wall. they didn’t complete the last lap, even though within a stones throw of the pit crew, they received a DNF. just because your car and driver runs perfectly for 99% of the race if it doesn’t do the last 1% its not complete.

What you’ve done firstly, is not made yourself accustomed to the cars (read game) features.

Like that amazingly vital D-Pad function that tells you EXACTLY what’s going on. Not only with your fuel, measured in % left, right down to the G Firces being applied to the car/driver.at any one point in the race.

YOUR job as a driver is to go over every aspect of the cars features, become accustomed to its abilities. Not have the team manager to keep tabs on you and hold your hand throughout the races.

Job one would be to firstly click the D-Pad to,the far right and you’ll find the Damage listing. From suspension, engine, transmission, down to fuel.

Hit that d-Pad and flick to the right, leave it on while racing and take note of the amount if % of fuel you use on one flying lap.

That will give you the basis to go by as to the amount of fuel you’ll use in each racing lap. Then add 1% in case of traffic disruption. That way, when you get the fuel gauge reading low, you can switch the D-Pad feature on, monitor your fuel consumption, then hit the pit at the very latest.

When you’ve done this over time, you’ll know that as you get lighter due to fuel loss, your times will ideally improve. Use this gauge to maximise your laps to get the very last lap out of the car. You WILL RUN OUT OCCASSIONALLY… That’s a given. Until you mange your fuel correctly.

That’s what Enduro a Racing us about. Once you know that for each and every car you’re got to race in that particular track ( btw, is the RA mean Road Atlanta or Road America?).

Then you can plane an early pit meaning you’ll come out if the pit well back in the pack, but move right up to the front as others pit later, stretch that to the very last 1-2% of fuel, and then pit, and ideally you’ll be ahead if the pack surficently enough that you’ll still come out either at the front, or with just one or two I front of you.

It’s not up to the dr elopes to fix your inability to use your eyes to manage your cars consumption correctly.

You ever see a pilot just jump into his plane and take off. NEVER!

It’s his job to go the walk around, sign off the planes senders and even tyre condition. That’s your job as well.

Learn to race correctly, and you’ll get the great feeling of coming from right at the back of the pack, to the front and win.

When real race cars run out of fuel they bring them back to the pits to retire the car, not to let them finish.

It’s easy to know the exact amount you have and even calculate how much you are using per lap. Just bring up the telemetry and scroll all the way to the right, it shows you the percentage remaining in the bottom right corner.

In real life if you ran out of fuel during a race, you would never be able to finnish above last place even if you were towed/pushed back to the pits, so the car would have to be retired. Either way, it’s game over.

Anyway, I don’t ever recall watching any driver run out of fuel during a race in any form of motorsport (except anything on an oval track). This is because they understand how to read a fuel gauge!

And also, how would flags and safety cars help you to read the fuel gauge?

Well you could always put the telemetry on and flick all the way to the end where it shows damage percentage. It also shows fuel percentage on the bottom part

There’s the telemetry you can use that others have mentioned and you can also keep and eye on the fuel gauge, when it gets halfway down take a look at the number of laps you’ve completed already. If you are under the halfway point of the race then you’ll need to pit.

As for the other racers getting quicker times, check the stats for the cars, chances are they are better for speed or cornering than the one you have

I have never accidentally ran out of fuel during a race because I work out fuel usage per lap(%) and work out if I have enough fuel to do another lap… Simple as that…

Quite correct mate, agree fully as mentioned in my post above.

It comes down to the driver to make sure fuel is optimised, not squandered.

Indeed.
