What are your favorite cars and assists for every type of race (in case you use different assists)?
Mine are only 3 - the 1970 Charger, RAM 2500 and ofc the Mosler. I use the Mosler for anything on asphalt and for these races I keep traction and stability ON, whereas for anything offroad (RAM 2500) I have these two disabled bc the pickup truck is an unstoppable machine against “Average” drivatars difficulty: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
And for drift the only thing that remains the same as the default setting is steering - “standard”.
No driving assists, only rewind on because it’s useful for car testing & Rivals.
Favourite cars:
Porsche 356. Beautiful, nimble and quite strong with a small tuning trick. My only A800 car on Slicks but it’ll eat a lot of off-meta cars.
McLaren GT A800 Dirt build. Not the best on bumpy Dirt tracks but on the others it’s like driving on tarmac. Somewhat different but fun & decent.
Ferrari F355. Pure 90s vibe, awesome performance on A800 and B700.
When I started playing I had most of the assists on, however over time I begun disabling them.
First to go was Stability Control, probably in a few few days.
Traction Control was the second one to get disabled.
Then, thanks to ISuckAtDriving I moved to a Manual gearbox.
Some time after that I turned off ABS - that was a bit tougher to get used to, but now it’s fine.
Also recently I tried Manual with Clutch, which is a great idea, however I find it very uncomfortable to use on a controller, so after a couple of days I reverted to a “regular” Manual - if I decide to get a wheel with a clutch pedal (which might happen around release of TDU SC, that setting will return.
And yes, I do keep the “rewind”, but I use it only if I mess up really badly.
No driving/breaking line at all, that thing is evil, and no one will convince me otherwise
And no damage, because I like to look at nice cars.
As for the Drivatar difficulty “Highly Skilled” (started at Average and slowly increased it) is where I roll and I win most of the time, although sometimes I have to get “aggressive” on other cars.
Favourite cars? A close one between Chevy Vette '60, Chevy Bel Air and Ferrari California '57 (all B class).
I do not care about car performance that much, I mostly just like to cruise around the map.
Ah, and Bentley Blower is a cool car and really fun a drifting (and I do not like drifting)!
I like most cars, it depends what I feel like driving.
I don’t use driving assists. The only things that are turned on or down are: Pro difficulty, manual shifting with auto clutch and rewind is turned on. Rewind only because it doesn’t affect the difficulty bonus. I get +90% now instead of 100% like in FH4
