Well, it happened. (Tune Cap)

That’s pretty ridiculous. There are 471 cars currently, and will be over 500 when all the DLC is done, so if you have one of every car you’re not going to be able to have a tune for all of them, and you can only have a duplicate car for 20% of the fleet before hitting the garage limit. SMH …

Pretty similar

Make a tuning thread :).

Having cars without saved tunes is the only thing we can really do.

Apparently the limit is client side, nothing T10 can do about it.

Yep, it was the same way in FM5 :(.

I just don’t understand why T10 keeps putting caps on the amount of tunes and vinyls you can save and put up for everyone to enjoy. This game has a huge community and much of that community loves to share what they create. At least the garage limit is 600.

Holy smokes RB, you’ve been quite busy this last week to have already hit the cap nearly

500? That’s a real shame. That’s barely enough for the cars at launch, never mind future DLC (at a minimum 40+ cars).

I think it’s kind of funny that T10 uses the community as an advertising feature, yet limits how much the community can do. Edit: In case this is read negatively against FM/T10, I mean as far as tune and design limits go. 500 is still a lot, but not enough. I’m sure if the cap could be increased further (if not infinitely), it would be, but I don’t know the actual programming behind the game and how much can be done after ForzaTech engine, cars, tracks, etc. to allow for more space.

Side note, how is the painting side of things? If you merely, say, change the window tint, does that count as a design [again]? Or do you actually have to apply vinyls/others’ designs for it to count as one design?

Same as FM5 :(.

In FH2 this hit me hard. I had to start removing tunes and paints due to limits. I don’t see why you can have a single color when you buy the car and it won’t save as a file but you repaint that color (Matte for example) and it saves as a new design. Oh well…

Yep. Me too. Made another profile to be able to have designs on the rest of my cars, as there were 300 spots there and somewhere in the neighborhood of 320+ cars after all the DLC was done. Same reason too, once it was painted a different color, bam, “new design”. I imagine that being a problem for many people.

Exactly. I don’t quite understand how that system works.

I can apply the generic red matte paint (to continue with the example) and it doesn’t require a save file for that paint set up. I go into the car to the paint booth and wish to change the matte paint from the default red to any other color and BLAM it makes a new save file. Why does it not require the save file from the autoshow but it forces one from the garage?

Even then, I can change my mind and decide I don’t want Matte Red paint but I want Normal Color yellow and as long as I make that change without altering the HSB or changing the color on anything else no save file required.

As is SOP on these games, I’ll have super col designs by a few awesome painters for the cars I use most and the ones I use online and everything else will be generic, manufacturer, bland. This all assumes I buy every car in the game but I won’t. I don’t need one of every livery for Formula E or Indy Car. Just get two - one cool stock livery and one cool downloaded one and I’m good. Still, I’m excited to actually be able to start looking for designs - I hope Skreamies has been busy!

I’m right there with you. I don’t understand it either. I feel like it’s the equivalence of putting a supercharger on your (otherwise NA) car and having the game classify it as a tune.

Put a whole bunch of vinyls on your car? Sure, call it a design. Just change the color though?

Ultimately though, it is an inconvenience, but not really a huge problem, per se. And yeah, the painting community will definitely help liven some cars up

I can see how that is an issue for the serious tuners out there. Personally if I have 100 cars that are tuned I’ll be surprised so I don’t feel like this will impact me.

…however, what happened to the power of the cloud. Surely this is something that could have benefited from the next gen cloud right?

Wait, you tune? :stuck_out_tongue:

Rushed tunes anyone? ;).

500 isn’t great got to admit, perhaps that will somehow change in the future. Not sure I’d hit the limit though maybe after 500+ hours of playing perhaps.

I could see burning through 500 tunes pretty quick if you consider most people will have at least two tunes for every car.
One tune for online racing and another for single player with MOD cards. Something like a grip MOD would allow for more HP and fewer handling parts, like tires and areo bits.

Cap the amount shared online, not the ones saved on the Xbox,

Unlike tunes this is easy to get around for layer groups. One group holds up to 2000 layers so you can easily save multiple logos within that one group instead of making individual groups for each logo.

I hit the limit and I am a little bit more angry all the time now.
