Weather restricting most classes of cars

Hey guys! Thought I would get y’all’s opinion on this! I am enjoying the game very much but noticed that the seasons change almost every 30 minutes to an hour of game play. And almost all of them except Summer really restrict the types of cars you can drive efficiently. I find myself going to my rally cars/4 wheel drive cars because it’s either to slippery, or to wet, or to muddy to really use any of the super cars. And since the game forces you to change seasons it becomes rough to really branch out and try other cars. Anyone else feeling the same way or am I just crazy?! :stuck_out_tongue: Either way I am loving the game and am not complaining join pointing out something I am noticing!

Feels like real life.

I was afraid this was gonna happen. But you can run a different season on any blueprint you make, and change cars before the race. So it’s not that big an issue unless you’re doing Street Races, which I suggest you cheese through due to the carefully placed/scripted traffic obstacles and harsh rubberbanding.

Oh! I didn’t know you could change the seasons on the blueprints! That is good to know! Thanks for the heads up!

How long have you been playing? Are you still in the prologue? Seasons will last a week.

About 4 hours, I don’t know what game you’re playing but you ain’t playing Forza Horizon 4 if you haven’t had the seasons change.

He’s saying once you get past the prologue, the season will last a week as opposed to changing every 30 minutes.

How long is the prologue? Never heard of “Prologues” lasting upwards of 4 hours.

I’m still in the prologue. Just started Spring which should be the last season of the prologue. Ithink you have to play through all 4 seasons and back to summer before it ends. Then you’re into the regular game. So I guess it could last as long as it takes to accomplish that.

Yeah prologue just means “all the stuff you have to do to get things unlocked correctly” - like my son forgot to get his first house, and was stuck in Summer for a hour before he asked for help… then it was Autumn right away. Yes season are restricting a bit your freeroam car choice
But if the car is not a supercar/hypercar, you are free to use what you want.

I use a caterham R500 (no winter tires) to travel between races during prologue winter season (but it was not in the northern part of the map, but along the coast), and had fun doing it.

The only restriction I see is putting winter tires / or using 4 wheels drive if you want to drive a S1/S2 car during winter
