So majority of my cars are useless to use for the next week. Quite outrageous that I can’t use my millions of $ of cars I spend hours on to get and then its the winter seasons for a week to where I can’t use them without spinning out constantly
why should I have to spend 60+ USD on a game where I can only drive a certain car on a certain date.
How that downgrade if you car handles mutch better, feels more like upgrade to me. And actually there is way too mutch in grip in winter, i can pick every car i want without spinning around all the time, drifting with rwd car is actually mutch more fun when you dont have winter tires.
If they were actually downgrades you wouldn’t be having problems driving in the snow without them. If they help you go faster, they’re definitively upgrades.
How Is putting seasonal appropriate suspension, tires etc downgrading your car? The whole idea is to run laps as fast as possible, it doesn’t matter if you have to change tires, suspension, or even lower the horse power if it allows you to run faster laps, then you’ve upgraded your car.
You probably shouldnt have bought this game if you dont welcome the changes of season. But given that you have, follow the advice and/or learn to drive for the conditions.
That’s not unreasonable. In real life, I used to own my dad’s old '85 Toyota Celica GT-S, and it was perfectly fine on dry or even wet roads…however, the very first time I tried to drive it in snow (keep in mind that particular Celica was RWD), I spun out without even trying. Within a month, I sold it and bought myself a Subaru Impreza (AWD with mud/snow tires). The simple fact is, whether in a game or in real life, high horsepower cars with street performance tread simply don’t do well in ice and snow. If you have millions of $$ worth of cars, I am certain that you can afford a few sets of rally/snow tires, and your cars will then be able to handle winter season. Problem solved
Don’t use other people’s tunes then. I rarely ever use anything but my own tunes because I like having the freedom to make any changes that I feel are necessary. To be realistic, in most situations you don’t even need a custom tune…just bolt on parts and go. Most of the time I only make changes to ride height and downforce. Everything else I leave alone.
Yepp thats what I started to do. Changed all my cars to my own settings and it’s fine. Another question that I have is how do people get cars to a way higher level that I can with all the parts??
Oh, man… you might have to search for a winter tune… that might entail typing in a keyword… maybe get a blister on your little finger… maybe get a blister on your thumb.
Okay, what cars are you having issues with? Are they stock or do they have upgrades and a tune? Be a little more specific with the particular car you are having issues with and we will be more than happy to help you.
If you haven’t done so already try putting snow tires on it. If it is an all wheel drive car, you could tune the center diff to send more power to the front wheels, although this will make the car more likely to understeer. If it is a RWD car your only real option is to use less throttle, although you could try to make the limited slip differential less aggressive and see if it stops the oversteer, you will loose acceleration by doing this though.
You could also use this opportunity to find a more season appropriate car that is fun to drive. There are a lot of really fun C, B and A class cars and with the lower power outputs in these classes the reduction of traction is not as noticeable. Any of the “Rally Monsters” should be at home in the white fluffy stuff and with proper driving technique should be able to beat most cars on anything but high speed missile tracks.
It’s what other casual racing games force down everyone’s throats so when people pick up this game they upgrade the car to the max thinking they’ve built the car to its max potential when in reality the car is probably better off in one or two lower classes.
It’s not quite as noticeable as it is on Forza Motorsport where these builds are easy jokes among those who know better. Many just don’t realize the intricacies that go into building a good car because it’s unlikely they will face many elite players. Others I would assume just don’t care because of freedom of expression mixed with occasional success.
