Hello im from The paddock sim racing
im going to rant if you wanna call it that
We are a Small group of Sim Racers that is growing very quickly and Forza Motorsport is not making it very easy to grow
for example ( one of many) the public and private lobbies are impossible to use you Mic with out being in a “party” that only holds 16 and max on track is 24.
That’s a Problem. #1 one rule in sim racing is communication. confusing cuz Turn 10 partners with Microsoft which owns Skype ???
the sim racers always get a back seat when it comes to updates, car choose, tracks, or game options. and we spend far more hours then your “public lobby players”
( and Turn 10 us sim guys well most of us stopped using public lobbies years ago)
so dear god stop putting tire walls on our tracks and adding Limos or trucks to our RACING game
and those tire barriers that “stop” the cheaters cause more issues then help
they make the track ugly for photographers, and cause more wreaks then help ( Lime Rock Park a good example )
race cars need runoff area or they just bounce in front of other cars and now more then one drivers race is over that sucks
and its not just barriers areas like on Le Mans after the Porsche Curves you have “sticky track/grass” and that’s usable track in the Real world
we are just now getting all these great racing locations there are so many great track that need to be driven
but these flaws make the Forza Faithful kinda disappointed
and the racecar has improved from games launch but still lack major cars and teams that many of us would love to see in you game not just old F1 cars they are
cool but not what most want
how about machines form IMSA or FIA WEC
and not just one for two cars from a select era cuz we can not BOP the cars ourselves even tho we try our best (2011 porsche RSR with 2016 Lamb Huracan ) thats just not ganna work
we have enough issues with Lag or loosing connection in the long races we host and 3 hours or 50 laps not enough we can’t have these problems just makes the game not fun
and that what we really want
comment if you agree or if you i’m just being too needy

Just a thought on the tire barriers. I don’t disagree with your reasons for not liking them but I do support them being there. They’re intended to stop some of the rampant cutting that occurred in previous titles and they have been moderately successful at certain tracks. It’s unfortunate that we can’t have clean tracks for clean racers, but it’s not the worst thing in the game either.
And yet both the real world and most other racing games manage without all these barriers, on the not unreasonable grounds that driving off the track will a) make you go slower or spin you out b) mess up or even break your car, and c) earn you a penalty.
The existence of these barriers in Forza is a sign of failure, not of success.
Exactly how is it a sign of failure? They are there to eliminate the most common “shortcuts” in multiplayer, which they have. The fact that a large number of players in the public lobbies are immature brats who could care less about etiquette, racecraft, or the rules of racing is not a reflection on T10. The reality is there is little they can do to limit how people play the game online.
What other racing games address this better? The only other game on the console that even comes close is Pcars, and their 5 sec penalty is a joke. I don’t play Gran Turismo, so I don’t know what that is like, but I doubt it’s significantly better. You can’t include PC racers because most of them don’t have multi-player, and the one’s that do are usually pay to play. People who pay good money to play Iracing have a right to expect better competition.
Comparing real world racing to a game is utterly ridiculous. In addition the the reasons you mentioned, real world drivers also face fines, suspensions, loss of their ride, not to mention the very real risk of personal injury or even death.
Drivel. PCar’s penalty system is vastly better than Forza’s idiotic Lego brick walls, as is AC’s. Hell, Forza’s old sticky grass, imperfect as it may have been, was vastly superior to the current mess of ridiculous walls on some tracks and nothing at all on others. Forza 6 is a pathetic joke when it comes to enforcing track limits.
having them is nice for multiplayer yes in some case. so i do agree but would like the option to remove them so i can do sim races and take better photos of our cars.
this and all the other “issues” i stated before. just would like a game that works and works well thats is worth my what is now 100+ dollars a game including DLC
eveyone brings up good points this is a casual game compared to most PC titles out there but we just need the options to turn off and on the barriers in Private lobbies.
This is a very simple fix and one box checked off of many issues that this game has neglected to face.
still have Mic problems, server or lobby problems and lots of lil stuff that i just find could be fixed
we cant blame forza for all these issues they have the barriers there because of the drivers in multiplayer
