VWAG 2.3 VR5 Engine Swap

Derived from the VR6 engine, made as a more compact V-shape engine design to fit the engine bays of cars that usually have transversly mounted inline 4s, the 2.3 litre VR5 engine was available in VWAG cars from the year 1997 up to the mid 2000s. Its 10 valve version made around 150hp, while the updated 20 valve version bumped that up to 170hp. While this power output does look low for Forza’s standards, it is the sound that would be this engine’s purpouse. Cars like the VW Golf GTI Mk1, the VW Scirocco S Mk1, or the VW Golf Mk3 would finally gain a new engine swap that allows for the cars to run around in lower PI classes while still sounding brilliant. And for this exact reason I think Forza should feature more “weak” engine swaps.
