ABOUT THE SERIES

We are an online Forza Motorsport 6 endurance racing series based on the North American Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. This Forza series aims to provide one of the most immersive and comprehensive online racing experiences on Forza Motorsport by introducing series features that include a Safety Car with Rolling Starts and Yellow Flags, social media pages, endurance race lengths, varying weather conditions, and a detailed replication of the series on which it was based. This is Forza simulation at its best.

SERIES INFO

Both the #14 and the #18 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo race cars will be eligible for competition. No modifications to the cars will be allowed, as the cars are 100% stock in the real LBST.

REGISTRATION

Drivers wishing to compete in Season 1 of VLBST can start the registration process by going to the website and clicking ‘APPLY NOW’ on the home page. Once you fill out your application (making sure to select Bronze as your VFIA Driver Rating), you will be contacted by a VLBST Team member.

SCORING

The VFIA Driver Categorization System is a points-based system that uses a Composite Score of Competition Points and Driver Points.

Competition Points: points that are earned during the season and added to the championship standings after each race, based on finishing position. Competition Points will be awarded as follows:

1st place finish | +15 Competition Points
2nd place finish | +12 Competition Points
3rd place finish | +10 Competition Points
4th place finish | +8 Competition Points
5th place finish | +6 Competition Points
6th place finish | +5 Competition Points
7th place finish | +4 Competition Points
8th place finish | +3 Competition Points
9th place finish | +2 Competition Points
10th place finish | +1 Competition Point

Driver Points: points that are awarded to Competitors based on their level of professionalism and track etiquette. Driver Points will be awarded as follows:

+50 Driver Points | Raging Bull Challenge completion*
+25 Driver Points | Attending all races in a season*
+10 Driver Points | Clean Race
+5 Driver Points | Attending Full Event (Practice, Qualifying, and Race)
+5 Driver Points | Pole Position
+0 Driver Points | Unavoidable contact
-5 Driver Points | Avoidable contact
-100 Driver Points | Disqualification

*These points can only be earned once per season.

The Raging Bull Challenge is considered to be complete when a Competitor completes three or more Clean Races during a single season.

The Composite Score (Competition Points + Driver Points) will be used to place Drivers in one of the following VFIA Driver Categorizations:

Platinum | 400+ Composite Score
Gold | 200-399 Composite Score
Silver | 50-199 Composite Score
Bronze | 0-49 Composite Score

DRIVER CLASSIFICATION

The following are authorized driver pairings:

PRO:

Platinum
Gold
Platinum - Platinum
Platinum - Gold
Gold - Gold

PRO-AM:

Silver
Silver - Silver
Silver - Bronze
Bronze Expert (As judged by the Team)

AM:

Bronze
Bronze - Bronze

It is possible to finish the first season of VLBST with enough Composite Points to register for Season 2 as a Silver or even a Gold driver, although the latter of the two is very difficult to achieve in a single season.

UPCOMING UPDATES

Season 2 of VLBST is not yet scheduled, but will feature the all-new Huracan Super Trofeo in the PRO-AM and PRO categories, with the Gallardo Super Trofeo competing in the AM category once again. Season 2 will also see a completely reworked registration system and a new and more robust website.

Visit the Official VLBST Website to learn more and sign up!

LAP RECORDS (Leave a comment below if you have a best time that has not been posted or updated. Only times recorded by Gallardos that are eligible for competition in VLBST will be considered. Times from Track Days, non-VLBST related sessions, and VLBST Events will all be considered as these are all-time records.) The lap times highlighted in yellow are the current lap records for any given track, meaning they are the fastest time set at that track with a VLBST-legal Gallardo.

We have several completed registrations now and I will be working to get them processed and added to the Spotter’s Guide. We’re now more than half way to our 23 car full grid, and we still have over a month until the first Event of Season 1. If you want a seat, start your Application now!

Also, the liveries for those who have applied for Season 1 but who do not wish to make their own livery are almost ready and will be uploaded to the Storefront soon.

VLBST Track Day tomorrow at 6:00pm! Anyone who wants to join in is welcome; just send me a friend request or leave a reply here or PM me. We won’t just be racing the Lambos, and pictures will be taken as always. See you online!

Send me a PM if you want an invite to tonight’s VLBST Track Day. Tonight @ 6:00 pm EST.

Just a reminder to the Competitors who have started their registration process that registration for Round 1 will be closed after December 18th. If you have not yet been added to the Spotter’s Guide and are going to be racing with a custom livery, leave a comment or send me a PM to let us know where you are in the process. We have a lot of registrations to process so be sure to keep us up to date with your registration so we can get everybody race-ready for Round 1. We are more than happy to help you or answer any questions you might have.

With only 7 slots still available for Season 1, it’s looking like a full grid may be a possibility for the first Round. In the event that there are more applicants than the lobby can hold, the applicants who apply after the 23 slots are filled will be given standby slots on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a registered Driver isn’t present at the time of the Event, the first standby Driver will take their place. The second standby driver would take the place of another registered Driver if two drivers didn’t show up, and so on.

Essentially, if you want to participate in the series, fill out an application even if it’s just for a standby slot because odds are that you will still be able to race. If you are a standby Driver and race in the stead of a Driver who did not show up, you will be given their official slot and they will be considered to be a standby Driver from that point forward.

If you missed out on the action from our weekly Track Day, be sure to join us next Friday at 6:00 pm EST. Just send me a message in game if you’re interested; anyone can join in and you can race anything you want!

For any VLBST Season 1 Drivers who participated in last week’s Track Day: If you set any personal best lap times in the Gallardo, leave a comment below with your lap time and whether the lap was clean or dirty and I will add your time to the Lap Records above.

Bucket - 2:27.841

Is that supposed to be a 1:27.841 for a Laguna Seca time?

Yeh haha. I’m gonna try and get that 2:07 on Sebring with the stock car later

You’re a madman… haha. Your times are with VLBST-legal tunes right? That differential tuning makes a world of difference.

Just a reminder: Registration for the full season will be closing in 3 days! After 11:59 pm EST on December 18th, Drivers will only be able to register for Rounds 2-6. This is due to the sheer volume of Entrants and the amount of peripheral work that goes into processing registrations for each Round, as well as the holiday season.

Also, on Saturday, December 19th there will be a Safety Car/Parade Lap/Rolling Start/Caution rehearsal at 8:00 pm EST. The Safety Car will pace the field between 70 kph and 90 kph until the Rolling Start, which will likely result in some contact the first few times. All registered Drivers are encouraged to attend this rehearsal as practicing this formation will greatly reduce your chances of having contact before or during the rolling starts of the races.

Great job with the lap times; keep them coming if you set any new personal bests!

All time were with race legal tunes, within 5 laps of start. Times drop as fuel tanks run dry. Diff tuning also drops about 0.5-2sec/lap off of times on the right track.
