Are the VIR tracks going to somehow be in the hoppers? This would only work if those who bought the Porsche DLC are matched together. Or did we just buy a track we cannot race on in hoppers??
TBH it didn’t take a genius to work that out, that’s the reason I didn’t buy the pack. I can take or leave porsches and I’m not paying for a useless track.
The Porsche section has its own multiplayer lobby as well as rivals and leagues
Rivals is set on VIR
But multiplayer has random tracks …havent even seen VIR come up yet
This is the Porsche menu with its own Multiplayer, Leagues, and Rivals, though currently there is only one event in each submenu. Maybe they’ll add class hoppers to the Porsche Multiplayer group after more people have the DLC, maybe not.
To the question of whether the VIR ribbons show up in regular all-player Multiplayer hoppers, I don’t know but I would guess not unless it appears and then non-Porsche owners would be forced to wait out the race for the next one with a track they can drive on.
I personally think this approach was poorly planned. VIR should show up in all hoppers regardless if people have it or not. They could easily have made it so that people that didn’t have the track would automatically skip the race. This way it would not segregate the expansion owners aways from the rest of the players like it does now. I played online for 6 hours today in C class, and VIR didn’t come up once as an option.
Hey it could always kick them out of the lobby if they don’t have the track. I would be okay with that also. Either compromise is better than what there is currently. People with VIR can play it in ALL hoppers, and the user base isn’t segmented.
That would be even worse! Can you imagine how frustrating it would be getting kicked every time one of the VIR tracks came up? That would be stop-playing-the-game-entirely frustrating.
No, both of your suggestions are utterly dreadful. The compromise that T10 have arrived at - hiding the expansion track somewhere else in the game, is also non-optimal, but it’s far preferable to either of your suggestions.
DLC should reward players who buy it, but it should never punish people who don’t.
My way is “optimal”. The DLC is put into rotation for those who have it. Every 5-10 races it come up as an option. If people don’t have it they can not vote for it. If it gets chosen, then the people who don’t have it sit it out for 5-10 minutes. Life goes on. It is much better than what we currently have. Segregated from all the other hoppers into 1 playlist, that you might be able to play VIR. You are not making a very good case.
AND PLEASE
When you reply try not to use the argumentum ad passiones fallacy.
So you basically want me to go harm myself because you can’t make a valid argument. I wonder how many arguments you actually win because you will suggest such crazy things.
MP on FM is terrible. Waiting 5-10 without getting slammed in the back by 10 clueless racers would be a blessing for those who have VIR and who don’t. I am saving virtual drivers lives here.
How about you worry about the construction of your own posts and let me worry about mine? Or go play in traffic, either way is fine by me.

I would have to think he would win a lot of arguments that way if people followed his advice. Sorry just had to be Captain Obvious for a minute.
