These tracks need to be available to everyone, as it stands they are useless. Even though I paid I rather you give them away so we can actually use what we paid for.
I bought the Porsche expansion, and I haven’t touched VIR since a couple of weeks after release. I don’t think I’ve even driven all the variants.
I “won” the NASCAR expansion in one of the Forza RC leagues months ago, and I haven’t even touched Homestead. Not once, not a single variant.
It’s such a waste of perfectly good content.
I also purchased both packs, and agree 100%. Give them to everyone and get 'em in rotation!
Yes give them away I also paid for this content id really like to use it online with my friends
Same here. Bought both packs, haven’t raced on VIR since the Porsche pack was still new. Have raced at Homestead this week but only the oval while doing NASCAR showcase. The tracks should definitely be available to everyone.
Yep I’m ok with letting everyone have it for free.
I’ve rarely used the tracks, but both have very good ribbons and some nice technical aspects too. I wasn’t expecting that for the homestead road courses.
VIR is hands down one of the best tracks in the game as well. It’s a fan favorite in waiting.
This is the main flaw with Forza expansions as the tracks just don’t get the same usage as the rest. T10 might have to figure out a way to bring tracks in as a free addition to everyone.
VIR is actually a very enjoyable circuit. I do enjoy the Grand East layout and I’d be happy to see them given away for free on FM6.
I’d also like to see this happen; having circuits locked behind a paywall condemns them to obscurity as they cannot be used by the entire player base. Cars I am okay with but tracks should be available to everyone in my opinion.
That being said, I doubt this will happen, as the circuits are part of the appeal of the expansion packs and Turn 10 have bigger issues to focus on with other titles.
Free track, pay for the cars that come with it like they did in fm5.
seems the community agrees with this, keep posting and maybe they will listen. It would breathe a little life into the game. Should not be a major undertaking to make these tracks available although I know they are not really updating it anymore. They did the ESL update recently so you never know. Would make a nice Holiday gift for the players. Just the tracks, I am not talking about making the cars free. Problem I can see is that they would have to separate the car pack from the tracks if they do this.
I don’t understand why they didn’t do it like 5 where the tracks were free and they had accompanying dlc packs. I didn’t buy the expansions because of this. At least I got them from forza rc but I still haven’t touched the tracks because all I do is multiplayer.
I don’t care too much for Homestead, but VIR is a first class circuit that I’m sure will be included in the track line up for FM7. A lot of folks flat out refused to get the Porsche expansions pack due to the Studio’s marketing strategy, which I think needs to be revamped to ensue that track content is available to all. Perhaps offering some marketing cues from EA and Real Racing 3: always decouple tracks from car offerings and offer all tracks as free!
Tracks I hope to see make it FM7: VIR, Homstead Miami Speedway, all tracks from FM6 and Belle Isle and Mid-Ohio.
Yes. The grace period has expired. I would love to run in a lobby what I have been doing with Shaggy SoCal and Sarcasmo Jones. Just make the extra tracks avail. With the different variations it would be welcome.
Having VIR in the regular hoppers would be AMAZING! Just do it already
So I was looking to buy the Porsche pack ONLY to get the VIR course… wouldn’t mind driving the cars, but the track is the main reason…
Well, since reading this thread it seems the VIR Track isnt in the rotation of the hoppers? So unless you play a private race it will never appear in random pickup games/hoppers?
Correct. And even people who bought the expansions just for the tracks want them released for everyone’s use. I’d just consider my $40 an early access fee. VIR is an amazing track, in my top 3 for sure, and Homestead is a surprisingly good track as well.
They should just have them playable for all players in multiplayer, but playable for only those who have purchased that pack in single player, sort of like what they do with DLC cars…I haven’t bought the pack but I can still race alongside those cars.
I whole heartedly agree but unfortunately i think T10 have backed themselves into a corner here..
If they were to suddenly give the tracks away for free, it would be hard to justify the asking price for the expansions - take the nascar pack, is the (whatever price it is in your currency) worth it for 3 cars and 21 different liveries? there would be an uproar from those who recently or even originally paid full price for them.
If they were to release a track pack - so none of the cars but pay a small fee for just the VIR and Homestead tracks (maybe even a new one too) - the original problem still stands, not everyone will have them and so they won’t get put into rotation in multiplayer.
We can only really hope that whatever bright marketing person pitched this ridiculous strategy of bundling a single track + cars into an inflated priced car pack has proven to the higher powers in T10+MS that whilst on paper it seems like a sound idea, in reality its a dismal failure that lost them a lot of goodwill with the community and didn’t net them as much money had they instead gone the route of free tracks, pay for cars+career mode additions.
Then again, perhaps it did net them more money and it’s just going to get worse in the future as a result… who knows! It all comes down to the bottom line and thats something T10+MS keep very close to their chest.
ps - personally i think they should explore a subscription offering, forza is a franchise that could sustain a multiplayer customer base that pay a small monthly or yearly fee, give away like 3 months free access to multiplayer with all game purchases to get people a foot in the door, then beyond that its pay-a-fixed-fee for multiplayer+all additional content. Just think if the price of a car pack was the monthly fee and you got access to all the content. I’d be happy with that as i would of had months of racing on VIR and Homestead by now, instead of being able to count the number of races on these tracks using my fingers n toes
I used them plenty. We don’t need to use them in multiplayer. Singleplayer is the proper game. As I recall, DLC tracks were worked into the career but I ran them a lot in free play.
