VIP Status

Hi,
I’ve had VIP status in Forza 3&4 however Forza 5 was a gift and not the VIP edition.
What benefits are VIPs getting this time around?
Is it worth the price ms are charging on store to obtain it?

The biggest benefit to my mind is getting double credits for leveling up. If you’re a VIP from the start (now - following the economy adjustment) by the time you reach level 100 (which is 400-450 races) you’ll have netted 7,000,000 credits instead of 3,500,000 - just from leveling up, in addition to your winnings in those races which could easily be another 3,000,000+.

Can’t say I’ve really used the gift or special edition cars that came with VIP.

You also get that little crown thingy beside your GT . . .

I compare VIP to “Upsizing” your meal. You pay more to get more drink (that your body does not need) and more fries (that your body cannot digest quickly).

FM5 Cars and DLC List thread - VIP Benefits overview

I’m the opposite of the poster. No VIP with 3 and 4, tried out VIP with 5. I can’t say it has added that much value to my experience and it feels odd/wrong that one hour of my grind equals two of a non-VIP’er. Even more disparity if I use the free tokens that come with VIP to “super charge” my grind. I do like the VIP gifts and the pretty black case that my disk came in(!). Will probably VIP with 6 out of love of Forza even though it’s not a big-win value.

if the cars dont make it worth it then its not worth it period. going thru career you earn the credits to buy every car before you need it and did even when level ups were only 17k . if you play alot you are going to have enough credits to buy every car and part in the game then have credits you cant spend just pileing up before the end of the year. vip is just gonna double your useless credits.

VIP membership by itself does not include tokens.

If you received the additional 1250 tokens that’s because you purchase the LCE edition of the game - not due to the VIP membership by itself.

I think it well worth the extra for VIP status (I bought the FM5 LCE from Game having only bought the standard FM4 as that was all Amazon stocked).

As well as the double XP on everything except affinity, if previous versions are anything to go by, when the Storefront FINALLY makes an appearance, ALL VIP listings will show above non-VIP if it follows all previous Forza versions.

I believe you are confusing “storefront” with “auction house” and maybe both with “marketplace.” Per Dan Greenwalt, there will be no “auction house” in Forza 5.

Shouldn’t VIP status be earned through hard work, achievements, and driving excellence?

In a perfect world probably- but who is going to determine if my hard work and excellence is on par with your hard work and excellence? Maybe I have to work 5 times as hard (if not more) than others who are naturally better at it than I am. But I work harder.

I think the definition of VIP for this game is different then what you have in mind. VIP in this sense is more like the VIP lounge at a hot night club. A fireman or a Marine doesn’t get a VIP area to hang out in because he works harder than some gal who is famous because her dad owns a hotel. The VIP area is a “privilege” given to those who “pay” for it.

I think what you are envisioning VIP status would be more of a Top Achiever award. your version of VIP would be- best 20 tuners, best 20 drivers, best 20 graphics, etc etc.

But since 'll never be any of those I would complain that VIP should be more inclusive for everyone.

Hi all. First post. And thanks for your help first of all. I was told if I become a VIP member that I will be gifted a Lotus E21. Is this true? And After I would become a member how long before I am gifted car? Is it worth the $20 it would cost me to become a VIP member. I am trying to build some quick credits and saw if I get this car I can go to an oval track and set it to 20 laps and get like $110,000 credits every 15 minutes or so. Unless there are other ways of building credits quickly. I am at level 53 been doing it the ol fashion way. Have no problem with it. Just taken a long time. Thanks a lot guys.

from what i know yes you will get the E21 still i got mine as soon as i loaded the game.

as for the 20 lap oval, yes it will work but my personal opinion is that its a waste of time. you sit driving in circles for ages to earn (and i use the word lightly as its not earned really) a few 100k when you could jump onto rivals improve your driving skill and get to know the tracks/cars better and earn just as much if not more credits. i have done a few rivals and a few online races over the last 2 or 3 days and noticed last night i had jumped up around 2 1/2 million credits.

if you buy VIP, you should be gifted the E21 immediately (at least when I redeemed my LCE code, and backed out of the game to the main screen, I was gifted one immediately)
with VIP comes also a double payout per level up, so after each level you should get 70 instead of 35k, if you can level up fast you should be able to get higher payouts faster

It’s worth it to me. The exclusive cars are petty good, some if them have things the regular versions don’t have. The aero on the viper for instance is able to be tuned higher than the regular version. It’s a nice perk!

Considering there’s not nearly as many perks as VIP used to offer, it’s not worth it.
At least not worth $20, but that’s just me.

I’d rather just get the DLC pass for $50 and use the Forza Rewards and just grind it out for credits.

Too me becoming a VIP is worth it. Like people said above a you get a bigger payout every time you level up, a free E21, and be able to buy the 5 cars from the VIP pack, and also get VIP gifts like the halo spartan assault Mustang Boss 302. So in my opinion becoming a VIP is worth the 20 dollars.

The extra 35K every time you level up quickly becomes the biggest “payback” factor. If you get it at level 60, then when you reach level 160 it has paid out 3.5M extra credits; when you reach level 346 it will have paid out 10 million extra credits. This could easily add up to 25% or more of your lifetime point total.

Well said thats better much why I got it. Its worth it if you are going to play the game a lot since it doubles the level pay out. I’m at level 170 have 100 cars and 3-4 million left and never have an issue with CRs. As a VIP you also get a VIP rivals playlist.

On the Oval yes you can make a lot of CRs easily but I have found rivals pays out well too just set the rival to someone high on the LB

Hi All

If I was to buy the VIP pass now. What benefits would I get? I know you get 70,000 credits for leveling up which is good., but what other “perks” come with the VIP pass?

(I don’t own the car pass by the way)

Thanks in advance for your replies!
