No, it’s in the crate. For the cars from car pass DLCs, it should be free for the first time.

Not at all happy with the VIP situation. I can totally live with a selection of cars that are of no interest to me. No big deal. But the lack of permanent 2x credits is unacceptable.
If I cancel my purchase of this game, I will also cancel my preorder for the new 4k console, as there will be no need for it.
Turn 10 really blew it with this decision. It has become very obvious over the past two weeks why so little was said ahead of time about this game.
Quite honestly, at this point, I much prefer FMS 6 over this new game for several reasons. This is one of them.

I was thinking about that earlier. I have the Scorpio Edition pre-ordered and without FM7 I don’t have a need for it. That’s money which I could shift towards GT Sport and PSVR.

I’m in the same boat. Was going to pick up an X primarily just for Forza. After this though, I just feel duped and played for a fool every time I boot the game up. I can’t in good conscience give them more money. For half the price I can pick up a PS4 and GT.

Ok, I see what I did wrong. I was in the Car Collection section and clicked on a VIP car - and accidentally purchased a second time.

Call Microsoft and ask for your money back. I did and they gave it to me. T10 isn’t going to listen to you, but the will listen to Microsoft about a ton of charge backs for false advertising.
I will keep checking in to see if T10 fixes VIP. By fix I mean a permanent 100% for every race, rival, and game. If it’s fixed I’ll buy the game back, but not until then.

I am hoping so dearly that these VIP credit mods are gifted every day at least… if not, this was the biggest DLC rip-off in history.

Knowing Turn 10 as of recent years, VIPs will most likely not be gifted crates every week. Bring on the car pass and let’s hope we will at least get some interesting cars for once.

Wow! I’ve never been so disappointed in a game before, AND THIS IS FORZA, WHICH I LOVE!
Bad paintbooth, no storefront, unstable (game crashed 3 times plus killed my console another time), COMPLETE RIP OFF of us VIP’s, stupid “Call of Duty” crate system, terrible economics which make it take too long to earn enough to buy a car… easily the worst Forza ever! FM5 was pretty stripped down since the first go on the One, but this is inexcusable. Poor design decisions coupled with greed. (Bad economics and Ripping of VIP’s done to make people more likely to pay more real money for tokens.) Forza has been my favorite game series (Tier 11, almost to 12) but I am seriously considering calling Microsoft to see if I can get my money back, and canceling my Xbox One X. Finally give in and follow my gaming buddies to PlayStation.
This makes me so angry, sad, and very disappointed!

The only thing they can do that will be more disappointing than the current VIP thing, is if next month’s car pack was a Hot Wheels car pack.

Well, there’s another possible disappointment. The car pass states you get 42 cars in six packs. Now we are at 10/42 with the pointless F&F cars (why would you ever use them).

F&F was not part of the Car pass, it’s the day one pack and not part of the monthly dlc.
AFAIK the F&F cars are the Day 1 Pack and are not part of the Car Pass.

I cancelled my Delux edition pre-order as this was specifically based on the VIP. I do hope they listen the feedback, do “mea culpa” that it was not well explained and it was a mislead DLC (taking into account how it worked in previous editions of Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon) and, if it’s not possible to make it equal to previous versions, compensate VIP owners with at least an extra free car pack.
I won’t buy the game until this is further clarified by T10 and a compensatory action is taken. Mistakes everyone can do, but if they don’t take an action and just keep quiet, I’ll start to question their values and move for good from the series.

Yes, you get a VIP badge instead of your star. You can now show off that badge - but then no other badges like your Forza tier.

No not the big badge, I mean the crown you see next to the gamertag in multiplayer. On page 6 PJTierney wrote that VIP members no longer have it so I guessed we could “win it” with the loot boxes.
EDIT: it was the big badge, and I thought that when you open a loot box you only get only 1 item of all those you see but I realized I got all the items that were shown when I opened the VIP box.
