If you watched the live stream the cars are the cheapest they have ever been. No cars above 1.5 mil.
Being given double credits all the time would make it ridiculously easy to own every car very quickly.
Do we even really pay much for VIP? Most of the extra cost is for the car pass.
If they send us occasional loot crates I’m cool with that.
Barely played the game and already got tons of cars. I don’t want to have them all too quickly.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the Car Pass stuff with UE just a discount on the actual car pass? If so, we basically paid $20 extra for a discount on premium DLC.
No, it isn’t. That’s Day one pack. The VIP cars are in the VIP crates you should have, open those and you will get the cars.
Guys my vip credit boosts ran out already. Is this normal? That was a short lived “bonus”.
Go to crates and you should have 5 VIP Crates to open the VIP cars and VIP mod cards are in the crates
Never watched the live stream, but I’ve watched Youtube vids of a couple people opening the crates (which, shock they’re all the same lol, but that is expected because of the stated “content”). And yes, the VIP “pass” is in fact, $20 (US), which is absolute bull crap compared to previous content in previous games. Back when 3 came out, VIP was 100% worth it with cars being gifted EVERY month as they stated and 5 cars exclusive to VIP and some other benefits I think. 4 did good on VIP, and even up to Horizon 3 it was ok, but unless they seriously offer up every month with gifted cars with exclusive liveries and/or free prize crates, it’s an absolute waste of $20.
The price of cars now is kinda stupid IMO too, and very unrealistic for a game that founds itself on “simulation” (more like simcade lol). I’d be fine with the 250 GTO costing $20 million again, as this series is a lot easier to obtain money versus Gran Turismo.
I literally waited until a couple days ago to see what all the content was in the other editions, and honestly, it’s just crap IMO. I’m happy I won a free VIP pass from the Porsche sweepstakes, so standard edition it is for me, and also a first! I’m quite a loyal Forza fan, starting with the first one on the original Xbox when I was a little one, and been a fan since. All this money-tizing “DLC” crap is just a disgrace and now a complete shame to the series. As I’ve said before, they’re turning into the COD of the racing genre.
I also disappointed in this decision. Hope they change it later.
Without VIP x2 in Horizon 3, It could take forever for me to buy some rare cars in auction house now.
Most people start selling from 20 millions. So, since sooner, Motorsport 7 auction house will be the same.
I think more credit is better.
I’ve played this game since Forza 2 on the 360. Bought every game since. Been a loyal Xbox customer, buying my multiplatform games on Xbox consoles even though I have PlayStations as well. It always seemed that Microsoft was on the gamers’ side. No more. I’m done. GG, Microsoft, you got one over on us. Too bad it may cost you all my future business. All they had to do was announce that VIP was changing so that we could make an informed purchasing decision, and everything would have been cool. I would have just bought the standard edition and the car pass later. Instead they chose to deceive. I don’t appreciate being ripped off, and unless this reversed FAST, my money will be going elsewhere in the future.
I feel like everyone else in this thread. I am also unhappy that 100% Credit bonus is for a very short time.
How long can you play a game, and still get a refund from Microsoft?
Totally agree with your sentiments. Not only will I never buy another Turn 10 game but I may finally buy a PS4 after being a loyal Xbox player since the original Xbox.

Now, this hasnt been mentioned before? KInd of a novelty to me. Expensive novelty. I wouldnt pay for vip knowing its just a consumable.
The mod card which you used was a consumable, however, that is not the only benefit of being a VIP.

There are many posts talking about this but I am adding my voice as a paying customer. Having purchased the Ultimate Edition of Forza 7, I feel disenchanted finding out about the limited VIP credit usage, more so since the economy is so off putting. I wanted a game that is easy to get into and not this grind fest that has been presented to us. I work full time and travel a lot so I do not have time to grind out many races to just get a car. I WILL NOT be dealing with micro transactions AT ALL. Additionally I do not understand why cars that I do purchase come upgraded already. I mean the fun of Forza is suppose to be in getting a car and modding it to be my own personal creation.
As a personal notation, I would like to see a mode added where you can use any car on any track in multiplayer, with join in at any time as a feature like free play.
Patches need to be done soon and not in an 8 month time period like FH3. I do not think I stand alone when I say that a lot of your future success depends on how you handle this situation.

Only reason why i pay for VIP is to boost up my xp… Am a casual player, busy lifestyle, havent got time to grind. Bit dissapointed TBF.
