Two things: it says must be digital downloads only, so I’m guessing it will be in the in-game marketplace for that price if the game detects that you are a VIP.
Second, how do you expect to buy DLC, which is exactly what this is, for a game that has not yet been released?! Wait until launch! Does no one have patience anymore?

If you look in the xbox marketplace, you can pre-order several editions, including an edition with the VIP membership, that hasn’t been discounted.

Yes. You can preorder the game with the VIP. If you try to purchase the VIP separately it will fail. Sorry about the attitude, the demo comes out and everyone starts freaking out about buying VIP and forgets the game hasn’t even been reeased yet.

There seem to be two editions of Forza 5 VIP membership - one for the people who got it in the limited edition, and one for people who bought it after. I’d guess they’re only applying to the discount to the product ID of people who bought it after digitally.

That’s the Forza 5 VIP membership, and for me it shows a “Buy now” button. If it was the same product ID, it would show as “Already purchased: ”.
It should be pretty simple to fix, but will likely take a day or two once someone acknowledges it’s a bug - i’d hold off the preorder until its done!

That would make sense, I got my VIP membership from the limited edition.
Microsoft will likely refund you the money once they’ve fixed the issue, if you contact support.
They might just cancel and refund the preorder totally and let you re-pre-order!
I hope they update the item so those of use who bought the limited edition can get the VIP at a discount too. Probably via the in-game store though.

My mate paid £7.99 for the V.I.P I’ve just started the Download the demo thought I would get it too but can only see it for £15.99
So not sure myself what’s going on with it. It will either be a bug or was only available for a limited few.

Just did the math and you would actually save $5 if you were to buy everything separately with the VIP discount.
Even with them taking $10 off the cost of either the Deluxe or Ultimate edition package, if you have VIP (which is supposed to happen!)?
I got the same issue > as some already said, xbox store should already recognize VIP bought from it. No the VIP from limited edition. I think it might be fixed before release

I’m trying to get @XboxSupport to take a look, problem is they treat everyone like an idiot who doesn’t have a clue what they’re talking about! I wish they had a way of qualifying people as “probably smart enough that you should pay attention”
