That’s a likely impossible task.
They would have to know what type of race (single player, rivals, or multiplayer), know what mods were activated for that race, and know which tracks and how many laps were run for every single player.
I’m pretty sure that’s why they gave everyone 1 million credits.
I think we did alright with the 1 million credits, FE cars, and VIP back. Seems like we were compensated and more important have our VIP back moving forward. If I can manage 400 cars with no VIP, constant crashing during races and holding off on the mods due to keeping races short I feel the second chapter of this game is going to be a whole lot easier. What we really need is the stability fixes which will make the game enjoyable. People felt let down going for ultimate edition due to how it was in the previous edition and I assumed it would be the same and wonder if everyone might have looked at the loot boxes differently had the VIP CR bonus not been removed in the first place. They would still have had to contain the CR boost for the users who purchased the standard edition of the game when looking at the car prices just in order to give them a sporting chance.
If you payed for the VIP pack then you should get allocated VIP Bonus. Easy as that.
everyone DID get a VIP bonus, just not the one they were expecting. So T10 announced that they were going to give everyone what they were expecting in a future update, but in the mean time awarded 5 FE cars and 1,000,000cr. It was down to the individual to make the choice of continuing to play the game without the VIP bonus being applied, or to not play the game and wait for the patch so you could make the most of the double VIP cr bonus. Those who chose not to wait for the patch and continue playing the game, did so knowing that they weren’t getting any VIP bonus credits on them.

The entitlement here is so real.
When the game launched we all got exactly what we were supposed to get. VIP was simpley 5 legendary cards and a few cars.
The reason it was (will be) changed is because the description of the product was poorly written (whatever happened to grammar) and whilst it wasn’t strictly incorrect it certainly wasn’t clear enough and suffered from ambiguity. This is the reason VIP is changing, not because it should have been endless double XP from the get go. On that basis it won’t be backdated.
In any event, imagine the complexity in doing this for every player with all of the permutations of FE cars, mod cards, difficulty settings and race results. I couldn’t even calculate the difference double CR would make to my last couple of races.
Ultimately it won’t make any difference. I’ve millions of unused credits on every previous FM and nothing I particularly want to buy with them.

It’s a game, you guys…it’s not like you’ve been working a real job for half-pay.
Yeah, but the fault is on their side, whether it was intentional or not. If the description would have been clear about us not getting 100% bonus for every race (like in ALL previous titles) I wouldn’t even consider buying more expensive editions (as propably most of those who bought it) because the price was so high compared to the content actually given.
And to those that say that it is hard to give the credits back and that we played knowing that the update is coming:
First, I didn’t get any message from developers. I was totally unaware that the update is coming, if I knew it, I wouldn’t be playing it till the patch. Just a moment ago I noticed new bonus to credits and that’s why I went on the forum to check what is going on.
Second, I’ve spent 120 hours on this game already and 5 useless cars and 1 mln CR are literally nothing compared to what I would get with bonus from the start.
Third, the best thing is most of us (or at least big part) propably don’t even need it anymore, I bought VIP everytime Forza got released because I always knew that the first hours in-game are the most irritating, the feeling that you play amazing new game, but you race in the car you don’t want, but is the only one you can afford in order to push forward with series/championships is really annoying. The feeling that you bought VIP to not get irritated, but you still do, because “grammar issue in description” means you get nothing and then, when you already have 30 mln CR you don’t have anything to spend on, you get 1 mln CR as recompensation and fixed VIP which I won’t propably use anymore is close to being spitted on.
EDIT: Maybe I got carried away a little bit, but you’ve got the point.

I didn’t say I haven’t enjoyed the game. The game is very good, but I also choose to buy something extra that is called a VIP for which I got almost nothing.
Well, I am checking in-game messages daily and there was no information about VIP change and yes, you are right, I wasn’t checking their site and social medias, but I wouldn’t call it an ignorance, I don’t know about you, but I don’t check on social medias of every game/movie/book/cloth I buy just to see if the developer will kindly happen to post an update about his product. Most developers inform players of incoming updates/changes through launchers or news feed in main menu and do not rely on the player to follow them.
You would have received an in-game message informing you of such. Not to mention this info is also on their website and all of their social media platforms. It is not as if Turn 10 has been keeping this quiet. Pleading ignorance only looks bad on you, not the developers.
Just be happy they implemented the change. AND they gave us all 1,000,000 credits to boot. I think that’s very fair even though I raced a LOT more than the 1 million credit bonus made up for.
Yes, you’re correct. Thank you Turn10 for being intentionally misleading, and only changing things because of bad reviews, mass refunds, and a huge outcry. Thank you for leaving it for nearly a month to implement it, silence the entire time!

I do not play online/multiplayer because I play my games to get away from people. I’m around people all day long so it’s nice to come home and get lost in my Forza all by myself. I’ve had zero issues with the career mode. I’m perfectly happy that they released the game when they did…if they had delayed it I wouldn’t have been able to play it without issue as I have done.

If they’d delayed it, you’d still have gotten the same “zero issue” experience. Hell, it may have even been more polished. The last part of your post makes no sense, and it would appear you’re blindly defending it now.
Yeah the VIP was a fiasco and it took to long to patch it. But it’s fixed now. Yes the game has many issues still but it will obviously not be a quick fix.
Turn 10 corrected their mistake, apologized and gave 4 cars and 1 million credits to VIP. I don’t think they owe anything more to VIP members. If the double credits was such a big deal to you, you should have either stopped playing until the rewards were patched or asked for a refund.
Getting a million credits was like getting a million Dong in Vietnam…sounds like a lot…but if you know the market, it’s pocket change!
After the patch you get in total less credits per race than before the patch. Unless racing against AI unbeatable and not using bonus cards as than you get the same amount of credits as before.
If anyone needs remote counseling over this I know an effective one. 30 min on Skype with her you will feel miraculously better for fear of having to sit through a second session.
We might not be happy with certain elements of the game and each opinion/expectations differs. I think we should all consider that if T-10 could address the issue ie crashing/memory leak they could think of nothing better than to roll it out to calm the storm. It may take a few more attempts yet and to argue here with each other while we wait will solve nothing and all we end up with is an unfriendly forum. I would think we all want the same thing where we have a game that is stable and lets us finish a race that we start with for those that have paid for it the VIP CR boost which they have addressed.
I received a msg in game fm7 , from community 10 team saying . “ Thank you for being a Forza Motorsport 7 vip . To show appreciation we’ve sent you 4 F.E cars as well as a credit gift.” Not sure what 4 FE cars I got but the 4 that ppl have posted I didn’t get or the credit… It would be nice to get what I was told I’d get.
