During late September, I preordered the Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4. Ever since then, I’ve had the VIP crown with a base and extra prongs. But randomly, my crown is now reverted to a basic VIP crown. Any idea on why this happened?

No idea, but I always wondered why there were 2 different types of crowns.
