Logitech included a workaround in the last firmware update that allows developers to use LSB/RSB. This firmware update was live in May 2016. T10/Playground can include RSB/LSB on G920 if they want to.
Now there is no excuse for lack of mappable wheel buttons. If there was no time during regular dev cycle, it needs to be on next title update.
Do any of you guys using the G920 find that the wheel rotation keeps reverting back to 900deg?..i have my rotation set to 360 deg but pretty much everytime i go into the Festival/Showroom/Menu/Paint basically all menus i have to go back into advanced settings and change the rotatiion because it has reverted back to 900deg rotation, sometimes it stays at the setting i put it on but 90% of the time it reverts back to 900 deg…all other wheel settings in advanced i adjust stay the same its only rotation that jumps back to 900…becoming a bit of a pain in the ass to have to change it all the time.
Good call out. I have the same problem with the wheel rotation reverting. It’s a pain. I like it at 540 degrees. This happened in Forza Horizon 2 also. It occurred in Forza 6 I think (along with dodgy brakes) but it was patched and it remembers wheel rotation there.
G920 is a great wheel but lacking support to fully utilise it. Also the wheel needs a button mapping option so the horn can be used please Turn 10 & Playground Games.
well, that doesnt work for me nor a mate of mine. and there are more people where this work around doesnt work. most funny or annoying thing is, the wayni have the wheel mapped in the game, ia have no function on the a button, i could use it for the horn, if the game would let me. taht is the reason i say for years that every racegame/sim needs to have all buttons mappable the way you like. but t10 is completely silent about this whole thing
Not working for me either (I also use the regular controller for photos and stuff but horn does not work.
It’s not a big deal for me, I can live without it, Really want mappable buttons tho. Like the ability to “look back” without losing the change camera button… We all have bunch of buttons on our wheels, and since there are more and more available wheels on the market, it would seem like a good idea.
as far as wheel rotation go, I use 720 and the game leave it there. (Clubsport V2). Why would anyone use 360 ? I’m just curious, everyone is allowed to play the way they want, but maybe 360 is not really suitable for a game like this…
did turn 10 ever mentioned anything about why they don’t allow us to map buttons?
Drifting, using 360 degree? well I guess it would make it easier with a very low rotation. I like to drift also, but using 720… makes it a little more realistic i guess. I’ll give 360 a try for fun
I just have to add my voice. I wish I could map my own buttons on my thrust master tx. Even if it’s only the half the buttons on the wheel. I think I could make bettor use of them. I don’t think the b button does anything right now, and x button doesn’t do anything online because it’s the rewind button. I would make these look left and right probably.
Wish this game had the arrows to hint where other cars were when playing in cockpit view like in FM6
Glad to find out I was not the only one being driven nuts by this. I have the G920 also. I could see this as a simple mapping fix. I hope they get this fixed soon.
