I have a theory that the next track we might get is Bernese Alps just because anniversary event part 4 is Forza Motorsports 4 and arrives at the end of the month and the track that was featured was Bernese Alps with the Ferrari 458.
And itās a decent drift track
When do you guys reckon itās dropping? Wednesday, June 4?
@Pooya995016 Thoughts?
Hi @Speedster996 . Based on my calculations, update 21 will be revealed monday, june 23rd, 9 am PT.
23?
Update 20 is seven weeks.
Previous updates were 3,4 or 5 weeks.
This update is the longest one.
Awesome, letās see what gets fixed and/or improved this time.
Anybody want some slow cars? I want to see little hatchbacks like in FM4, ridiculous aero and all. Also Iām still waiting for a graphics update, this game should look like it did in the 2022 and early 2023 trailers; Iām not even impressed by gt7ās graphics, yet they are destroying forza right now.
Might get some heat for this but I feel like the focus should be on race cars. The gameās called MOTORSPORT. I only buy race cars and/or track focused cars. Horizon should be the one about road cars cuz itās on roads, you know?
The game has been called Motorsport since version 1, and itās always featured both racing and road cars. I donāt understand why some of you want us, a part of the community thatās been here practically since the beginning of time (in my case, since version 2), which isnāt small anyway, to pack our bags and leave.
And youāre also taking the liberty of telling us where to go. I wouldnāt even think of saying this game should only have road cars, and those who want racing should go play F1, ACC, or Iracing.
In my case, I bought the X solely and exclusively for this game, just as I bought the previous one for Forza.
If T10 only released paid DLC for road cars, Iād buy them all.
The great success of AC for a decade, in my opinion, aside from the physics, is that thanks to mods, players can own practically every car released on the market and drive them both on the road and on the track.
If tomorrow T10 decides to follow the path you propose, many of us will surely leave, never to return
I would be absolutely overjoyed if they axe the FOMO thing completely and make those past reward cars accessible.
Iād love more compacts, and not necessarily the sport versions either.
Itās one thing Iām jealous of early Gran Turismo games for, they had multiple versions of some car, with different trim levels and engine, and not just the biggest version.
Like Forza only has the M3, but GT could have the 320i and the M3 of the same generation.
I think GT had a little too many duplicates though, I feel like fm4 did it better. I really miss that old Pruis we had in fm4 , that thing was too much fun, especially on Fujimi Kaido. I almost feel like modding cars that donāt have a performance variant is the most fun, because it wasnāt ever an intention of a brand to have it go on a track.
That smart car just stole my heart, if we donāt get that back in motorsport, I really hope we get the wuling mini ev from fh5.
The problem with that logic is it takes FM23 out of its current niche and puts it into a new one. Part of this games appeal is the diversity of cars driven on track. Just like GT7 does. Essentially FM23 is the Xbox version of GT7. By taking out road cars youāre putting this game directly up against games like I Racing and ACC. Plus you loose that appeal of a diversified car selection. Thus loosing a major player base. Iām not saying more racecars shouldnāt be added. Thereās no such thing as too many. But you need that diversity to keep the game alive. Otherwise weād all be on ACC or LeMans Ultimate.
I like the way they have added variety of cars in the updates and last years car pass. A nice balance of race cars, road cars and track cars. Although there are still some glaring omissions and holes in multiple divisions, if there is one thing T10 has done right from the start is the cars added to the game. As long as they keep those oddballs, offroaders and pointless trucks out then im good with anything else added.
Iām not saying to take out road cars. Iām personally not as interested in road cars on track, but I get why other people are. I just wish that there was more emphasis on race cars, or at least some kind of balance between adding race cars and road cars in each update. Like maybe split it 50/50. Thereās so many race cars they could add (thereās too many I want in the game to list), and instead there was a whole update about Hyundai. Kinda funny, now that I think about
I might get some heat for saying I want more ānormalā road cars in the game. Relatively speaking Iām not interested in purpose built race cars; they lack character imho - kind of hard to explain.
I was happy with the ābuild not boughtā philosophy, although feel it couldāve been implemented better. They should lean into that by raising car level beyond 50 and giving us āstatsā for every car. Miles driven, races won, individual car leaderboards etc
Iām happy with a 50/50 split for future car packs so thereās something for everyone
I understand what your saying. T10 does seem to be leaning into adding more racecars lately. Unfortunately I doubt it will ever be a perfect 50/50 but something closer could help benefit everyone.
