Either you’re not assembling the machines correctly, or you have a very low skill level. I pass all races in the career for gold, playing on difficulty level 8. I choose my starting position based on the time I got in training before the race.
LOL.
Wait until you come across A.I. cars still in B class with A class numbers.
I agree though, the 20 P.I. advantage is ridiculous while the Hero of the race starts in first place and then, gets a double digit time advantage on the rest of the field by the second lap. Its hilarious.
Free play quick event is still absolutely ridiculous. Why does the Ai get to pick cars that are 20+ PI higher than mine every time? Got the difficulty set to 4, still can’t catch the first place car cos it’s 26 PI higher than mine. Ai rolling race tires yet when I put race tires on my car I STILL can’t catch them because now they’re still 20 PI higher.
Players can’t ever win these races with how they’re currently setup without punting the Ai off the track.
I’m far from the fastest in this game, but:
AI cars even on difficulty level 8 have mediocre lap times, defeated with no problem. The higher and faster the class, the easier it is to catch up with them, because the AI is bad at high speeds. So I don’t know what you’re even talking about…Especially at level 4…
Career is different bud. I SPECIFICALLY SAID FREE PLAY. Pay attention.
I made a video from FREE PLAY. Pay attention.
D400 vs C425. 8lvl.
Hilarious. Frustrating. Infuriating. All the same thing. I have yet to come across B class with A class numbers tho. That’ll be interesting. I set my car to 800. They come in with 809, 815, 826. Every time. Without fail.
I don’t race with cars that low. Try a BMW or something. Put together a Porsche A or R class and talk me after that.
I chose the low cars for illustrative purposes. The same thing happens in other classes. No difference. The AI is still just as slow and goofy. Their lap times are at least a few seconds slower than what the player can do, which means they can be caught up. Again, this is at level 8. If you’re having problems even at level 4…then the problem is clearly not with the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
AI performance is largely track and division dependent.
Difficulty 8 R900 GT/E at Sebring the top AI will run times close to what’s possible.
Open Class at Lime Rock or Maple I will lap the entire field in no time.
And I’m complaining that ai is way too slow even on level 8 and disabled collisions.
Ai is the fastest when they can cheat tyre grip (they always use soft level of grip even if they use wets)
So most divisions that’s force ai to use race tyres will make them bit faster.
Freeplay needs some love in the next updates.

I’ve been enjoying driving recently after picking up a wheel but the game lacks so much depth at the moment
I generally like how the '96 Mustang turned out. Normal and mid-level exhaust sound great, while the race exhaust sounds…conflicted yet passable depending on your level of tolerance.
Use the Advanced Free Event configuration, and the maximum PI that the AI can use is set by you.
What would be great is if T10 gave the possibility, like in all previous Forza games, to have the possibility of choosing to have the AI use stock cars. I don’t understand why with each Forza we always lose options, especially when there were many votes in the forums for this Forza so we could choose the AI cars even one by one
Cool.
Good insight. Can see why you’d be an excellent member of the Forza insider programme some excellent constructive criticism there
After installing the racing camshaft on this car, I’m not sure what to make of how this car sounds, with or without exhaust/air filter mods. If the car didn’t sound synthy at high RPMs before installing any camshaft, it definitely for sure does once it is installed.
Unfortunately I don’t know how that issue could be resolved, if it’s even possible, outside of just running that car without camshaft upgrades.
Love the look of the Mustang Boss Trans Am. Always nice to get more Race Cars in the game.
Have not driven it yet (enough driving was done to get it and the wheel not plugged in) but wanted to paint it and replicate one of our Aussie Muscle Cars Masters. For a “New to Forza” car why is there paint glitches? Using a metallic undercoat then covering the body with a full vinyl shows thin jaggered lines over the rear edges of the car. Very noticeable on the left arch and the right has it on the joining edge (top meets side) and at the transition to the C pillar. The masking tool is awesome when using metallic/chrome but with these issues I might have to go back to standard vinyls… A step backwards.
Cam upgrades is an issue in the game on pretty much all cars. They just sound more high pitched and synthy instead of sounding rawer, louder and more aggressive.
