gentelman fellow drivers . i am about to remove forza 6 from my console , just added 50€ to my account to install nascar and porche . but i had to try and climb pos in my comp . as so many times a got a tast of the unsportsman conduct of another driver , see my forza tv , i wil not claim that i never had my share of stupid moves, but explicit ramming is not my style , still ended 1 with a bitter tast . i just love a fair fight , even give up pos to aviod collision . had many post from other drivers , but it has gone overboard for me today , so is there no way to get around this , t 10 can you make a sepperat server for drivers like me , i wil accept any ban ore wathever , the game itself is super . i give myself another 48 h , without driving before removal , i understand that there is no commercial advantige for t 10 . sincerly rat pack
Bring back CPL’s. Again said it before but all these updates and you couldn’t bring back CPL’s. It is needed in this game. Project Cars has it. I think Forza can too. Worst decision ever to remove them. In the meantime find a group of racers to race private with. It may take you a few weeks but there are lots of groups that play in private.
I posted this before and I’ll post it again. Don’t let these idiots ruin your experience and waste your money. It’s YOUR game, and they are beatable. I am a firm believer that everyone in this game has the capability to make their sucess rate against people like this much higher. Funny enough as well, using the techniques in those above vids have also made me a better clean racer overall. So hang in there bud, you can do this.
You should not have to avoid them. If we had CPL’s the host could kick the troublemakers. I don’t know if Microsoft won’t allow it or it’s Turn 10. Either way it was a great feature to have and it should be brought back. It is a standard feature in almost all competitive racing games. The wreckers is precisely why they have it. I don’t know they think matchmaking is better. It we the players that suffer because that feature is gone. Instead you ban ban ban which is pointless since someone else will just take their place. It literally makes no sense. It would be nice of someone from Turn 10 would explain why this decision was made. It is wasting my time and theirs having to review all these videos of people behaving badly.
I would bet that T10 made a business decision to remove Custom Player Lobbies (CPLs) due to the cost it requires to run the additional servers. I can’t say I would blame them. I am sure running multiple servers to accommodate all the CPLs was probably just not cost effective. Maybe T10 would consider bringing back the CPLs on an annual subscription basis. I know that idea will not go over well with most casual Forza players, but there may be a few teams that would consider it.
Forza is my main game. Has been for years. I would consider an annual $20 subscription to be fairly reasonable if I had the abillity to host a lobby. However, for me to consider doing so, I would want the option to kick griefers and trolls. Not only kick them, but to be able to ban them from my CPL if I so choose. There are many players who have no respect for fellow gamers. The abillity to maintain a respectable lobby would be of utmost importance to me.
With the same number of people playing online, no additional bandwith would be required. However, the processing power needed to accommodate all the additional CPLs would most likely be inefficient. Let’s say T10 runs on average 5 lobbies per class or hopper. Each one of those hoppers would require X amount of processing power to operate. Now imagine that T10 had to accommodate 1 quarter of the community and provide them with CPLs. That would possibility be hundreds of new lobbies. All the new lobbies would also require X ammount of processing power to operate. This increased processing power would require the need for new servers.
T10 offers online servers for our enjoyment. They are under no obligation to provide a feature that, in the long run, is a drain on company resources. More servers = more IT support, more power consumption, more infrastructure, more maintenance, ect ect ect…
I believe the Private Lobbies as they stand now are pier to pier. Thus, the person hosting the lobby is also the “server.” A CPL was a user created lobby that ran off of T10 servers. If I remember correctly, the user was not required to be in the lobby at all times. (Please correct my assertion if it’s incorrect)
Either way, as a community, we are always disappointed when a great feature is no longer offered. I would love to see the CPLs return. Unfortunately, I think this feature is long gone without a more reasonable solution.
If the online community fits in 100 lobbies at a point in time now and CPLs became a thing then it may be 50 x T10 lobbies and 50 CPLs.
Surely it would create lobbies in a dynamic fashion ie only create lobbies on an as needs basis. Provided that the average player count per lobby did not change then the total lobby count should not change and therefore no change in processing needs.
Don’t let’em get the better of you. 80% of the time I get good runs in public lobbies.
The back of the pack can be a little rough sometimes, practice and get fast enough to be at least a mid pack racer. You’ll be able to get away from the back of the pack rammers at that point.
Funny enough, the Back of the Pack achievement is the only one I have not achieved of all the available achievements accompanied with the core game. I have long gave up on this one. This achievement is tough to get with the unpredictable nature of public hoppers. Add to that the limited number of laps offered in said hoppers makes this feat exponentially much more difficult.
I think CPL’s would bring a lot of people back to Forza 6. I think a lot of people have given up. I think some have not bought it cause they heard how crazy it is. I race in private all the time but it would be really nice to have the option to race in public and worry a lot less about someone wrecking you. If there aren’t going to be in Forza 6 they really need to be in future Horizon and Motorsport games.
You’re assuming that the number of Player Lobbies created would only replace the ones being used now. You’re correct that Hopper demand would drop as players migrate to the Player Lobbies, but it’s far more likely that far more lobbies would be created than lost. If everyone has the option to create their own lobby, hopper lobbies would become ghost towns while every other player has their own lobby running. That would greatly offset any hoppers lost. Just imagine how many people would be creating their own private lobbies. How many people would be in those lobbies at any given time? Eventually as the game ages, it might balance out a bit. Don’t forget that those same servers are also still running for other Forza titles as well. Not everyone has migrated over from F5. Horizon 1 & 2 and I believe Forza 4 are still operating on the same servers. Now, imagine if those communities had custom lobbies as well.
You could in Forza 4 and it also had hoppers and everything was happy. Stop giving them excuses why they can’t. It is Microsoft I think they can afford some servers.
I initially purchased a 3 month access and after the first week was REALLY glad I didnt buy a longer and more expensive one. The first week in the MP lobbies was all I needed. What was supposed to be fun was instead tense and frustrating. No matter what time of the day or night I was on it was always the same. If you were lucky to get the pole and make it through turn one and get clean air you might have a decent race. If not you were stuck in the back with people who hadn’t quite figured out what that left trigger was for.
I lucked across a group that welcomed me in and although they are much faster than I am, they are good guys and seem interested in helping me along so I can be competitive too. All they’ve asked in return is that I race clean and use proper track etiquette. I return the favor by doing that and practicing to get faster and everyone is happy.
You misunderstand, I am not giving them an excuse. I am disappointed that T10 took that feature out. It was more of a speculation as to why they may have removed the feature while providing a possible solution to bring them back.
As it stands now, I race the same people every night in the public hoppers. We usually have more than 12 people in our group. We usually dont have a problem getting rid of griefers and trolls. Vote To Kick is pretty easy when you have lobby control.
